(A/N: I just wanted to let you guys know this is going to be a rough one for a different reason. There will be very negative experiences for Y/N in the mental institution she's going to check herself into, so I wanted to give an upfront warning to you guys here at the beginning as like a trigger warning of sorts for anyone who has possibly had a negative experience of any kind in a mental hospital/rehab facility/etc. you have been warned. This is gonna be a long one. Love you guys.)

A few days passed, and you had gathered your things for your stay at the mental institution up in the human world. You were far from excited, but you knew it would help. Stolas arrived and allowed you to say bye to the others. You had no idea how long your treatment would take. You had no idea how long you'd be away. Blitz was nervous for you.

"Please be careful love..."

You nodded softly and kissed him softly.

"I will Blitz......I love you..."

You hugged Moxxie and Millie, and Blitz tightly, and then Stolas took you up to the human world, and you and him both used your human disguises. He even walked you into the mental institution as you got yourself checked in, and the lady at the desk looked you up and down silently for a moment, which clearly made you a little nervous, but Stolas gently squeezed your shoulder.

"It will be okay my dear."

"....Stolas I'm scared....."

"I know....and that's perfectly natural. Being in a new place with so many strangers can be scary. But you're voluntarily getting the help you need and I'm proud of you. We all are."

You hugged him tightly, before he whispered a soft goodbye as they brought you back to get you changed into the white patient outfit. The other patients stared at you as you walked to your room with a staff member. The room was immaculately clean, but with very few decorations of any kind. Just a twin sized medical grade bed, a soft natural light instead of a bright one, and a tv behind plexiglass. All of the corners of the room were rounded to prevent bodily harm, and a very high ceiling. You looked at the female staff member beside you.

"Will I be able to decorate the walls with my art and drawings...?"

She smiled. She would be one of the very few genuinely kind ones you would find out.

"Of course. We want you to feel comfortable and relaxed here. If decorating your walls with your art will improve your mental wellbeing then you go right ahead."

You almost smiled at her kindness. Almost, however, was only the very slightest twitch of the corners of your mouth. She smiled.

"I'm Wren."

"Like the bird..?"

She nodded with a soft laugh.

"Exactly. Like the bird."

You liked her already. She made you feel a small sense of peace in this strange new place. You held out your hand to her. You usually hated physical contact, but you felt you could trust her.

"Y/N..."

She shook your hand gently. Out the very corner of your eye you saw a male staff walking over and he pulls Wren's hand away from you and he muttered coldly.

"Wren. You know the rules. The patients are not our friends."

"David I was just trying to help her feel less scared."

David shook his head with a stern sigh, and Wren shot you an apologetic glance before walking away. David's eyes scanned up and down your body for a minute, the disdain clear in his eyes. Your guard was back up immediately. Uncomfortable, you turned, went into your room, and shut the door. You sat quietly on the medical grade bed, your mind swirling. You'd only been gone from home a couple hours and you already missed everyone terribly. You rocked quietly back and forth, staring at the wall. It was going to be a long night. A bit later the patients were called out for dinner, and you discovered the food here wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. You sat quietly at a table by yourself, feeling withdrawn and nervous. And everyone felt it. Your guard was up the entire time and you are with your back against the wall. And you ate alone each day for the next week. That is, until one day, a bigger girl with glasses came over and spoke timidly.
