Quiet

When Val came to get you to bring you to work, you hugged Blitz. He hugged you tightly.

"You better be careful tonight. ."

He whispered in your ear and you nodded. Your cheeks couldn't help but heat up a little, but you didn't say anything except:

"I will, Blitz..."

He smiled before you left with Val. Once you were gone his shoulders slumped a bit. He hated when you weren't home. Sure, the others were usually always there, but it wasn't quite the same. He got..dare he say... lonely..You were very on edge at work, your eyes darting around at every movement they saw. Val gave you permission to carry a knife at work now. As Val slipped into his room, he whispered in your ear before shutting the door.

"Are you sure you don't want to sit in here with me...?"

You gave it some thought. You would be safer in his room and so would he. But on the other hand, you wouldn't be doing much to do with your job. You wouldn't be staying busy and your mind would wander. You needed to keep busy. You smiled a bit.

"I'll be okay out here, sir..."

He nodded softly and shut his bedroom door. You stayed on high alert and tensed up if anyone even came near you. A few hours passed and you started getting restless. You began pacing back and forth to hopefully ease your restlessness. Val peeked his head out to check on you and he sighed softly at your restlessness. He grabbed your hand gently and brought you into his room and the soft quiet atmosphere in his room eased your anxiety and you leaned your back against the wall, breathing shakily. You had gotten yourself anxious and in turn couldn't think straight. You closed your eyes, and Val squeezed your hands gently. He handed you a pair of silky pajama's and told you to go relax in a bath. You went to protest but he spoke softly but firmly.

"That's an order, my dear. You need it. I will be alright. Just take a bit to yourself and unwind."

You sighed and nodded softly.

"Yes sir.."

"Good girl.."

You went into the bathroom, turning on the water, shutting the door with a soft click. You undressed and slowly sank into the hot water and let out a soft groan of relief. Your muscles were tense from stress, and your whole body ached. You grabbed your phone off the edge of the tub and texted Blitz, checking on him. You knew he tended to get lonely sometimes.

'Heyyy'

He looked at his phone and he smiled. He was laying in bed, bored, and he texted back.

'Heyyy :) whatcha doinnn?'

You giggled softly.

'Takin a bath to relaxxx. How about you?'

'Bored as balls. Millie and Moxxie are having "together time" 🙄'

You snorted, laughing softly.

'Oh boy. 😆 where's Loonie?'

'Ugh. At another one of Tex's dumb parties. Which she said I'm not allowed to come to anymore because I got so wasted last time-'

You snickered softly. Your mind drifted and you thought before typing your next response.

'How are you doing this evening? You were awful quiet today.'

Blitz blushed softly at the fact you cared so much.

'Yeah I'm doin okay. Just waiting for you to get home because I'm lonely- I don't wanna hear Millie and Moxxie- so I'm in my room-'

You laughed again. Millie and Moxxie were kinda loud sometimes while having their alone time together. Blitz texted again.

'Are you doing okay?'

You smiled softly.

'I'm okay Blitz..don't worry.'

Blitz's eyes softened and he smiled.

'Alright. Just checking. Enjoy your bath <3'

Blitz set his phone down and blushed again. He was trying DESPERATELY to keep the image of you in a bath or anything out of his head.

"Fuck, Blitz, get outta your head."

You set your phone down and sank more into the hot water, and you could feel the tension melting. You blushed softly, your mind drifting to Blitz. You couldn't have a crush on blitz..right..? You sighed quietly to yourself, washing your body slowly.

"Don't be stupid, Y/N. He'd never love you like that. All he thinks of you is you're like a sister to him. A best friend. That's it. Nothing more."

You muttered to yourself, tears welling in your eyes. You had no idea how Blitz felt about you. And you hated not knowing.
