It was well past midnight before Blitz got back that night. You couldn't sleep, so you were sitting on the couch when he walked in. He looked almost irritated. He went into his office and shut the door. You hesitated. You didn't want to irritate him further, but you also wanted to talk to him. You quietly got up and went to his office door, knocking very softly. It was silent for a moment but his voice sounded from the other side.
"Who is it."
You responded softly, a bit timidly.
"Y-Y/N, sir....."
You stammered a bit but then you heard him speak after a moment.
"Come in."
His voice was a bit gentler now. You nervously walked into his office and he gestured to a chair across from him.
"Sit. Stay a while..I've been meaning to talk with you, anyway. Shut the door, please."
Your heart skipped a beat slightly as you closed the door as you were told. You sat nervously and he smiled and chuckled.
"You can breathe you know. I'm not going to do anything to you."
You rubbed the back of your head, avoiding eye contact for a moment and he spoke softly.
"Hey....look at me please...."
You glanced up at him to see how soft his expression was now. He sighed softly.
"I know I may seem intimidating.....but I promise I'm not as uptight as I come off as..."
You silently nodded, smiling a little. Blitz looked at your smile and smiled a bit, his eyes softening.
"There's that smile....."
There was something about him that made you feel warm, though you couldn't quite put your finger on it. You both stayed up for a while just chatting. You enjoyed talking with him. When you left his office, Blitz whispered to himself.
"....night, Y/N......sleep well....."
