Day 5

Angel sat on the bar stool laughing as he held his pink drink in hand, almost spilling it. "Haha! And what'd the bitch do after?" He giggled out, and Husk, who was behind the bar counter, wiped clean a small glass cup with a cloth with a small smirk on his face. Husk decided it was a good idea to allow Angel to grab a few drinks from the bar once the casino closed, and not have him cooped up inside the room hiding him away from everything. It wasn't good to hide such a pretty face anyways. They've been talking about nothing important, but still bonding nonetheless. The two decided to lay off the others back, at least Angel decided to, since he was the only one doing the dickhead moves, but he didn't feel the need to do that anymore. Especially after what happened.

He didn't feel threatened by Husk at all, though he still put on his act, no matter who it was or where it was at, and especially no matter who he belonged to. Angel Dust is who he is now and will be for the rest of his after life and nothing will ever change that. Husk broke down some of his barriers, but there were still many to be undone. He wasn't exactly too comfortable with the cat, but he was decent enough to handle him for now while he waits for Valentino to gamble him back with who knows what.

"She flipped the fuck out and shot herself with a gun from Carmine before I could even own her soul. I kept the gun of course." Husk said with a small chuckle, but Angel, being a tad bit sadistic, laughed at that as he imagined the scene in his head. "Holy shit! She's such a wuss." Angel said before taking a sip of his well made drink. Husk nodded with his small smile still plastered on his face as he kept wiping down the glasses. There was a small comfortable silence between the two, Husk cleaning glass cups and Angel taking small occasional sips from his drink.

That night Angel lashed out on Husk replayed in the spider's head. He felt ashamed that he had opened up to Husk for such a foolish reason, which was because he judged him for all the wrong reasons. Husk thought that Angel was no better than Val, and he wasn't about to let anyone with such a mindset go about their day thinking he was the bad guy. Though, Husk already knew a decent amount of stuff now about Angel, but Angel hardly knows anything about him.

"How's it like, y'know.. Being the big famous gambler overlord?" Angel asked as his fingers traced around the rim of his almost empty glass cup. Husk's ears straightened up at the sudden question, but quickly relaxed soon after. At first, he wouldn't ever have answered that question if Angel asked around the first day of him being there. But Husk had a plan, just two more days. So, he decided to answer the spider. Husk sighed. "It's alright, business is business." Angel wasn't too satisfied with that answer, so he decided to ask a more detailed question. "What's it like? Do ya even like your job?"

Husk shrugged. "I'd rather be this than anything else for sure. Been doing this for years, kid. Decades even. Even while I was alive." Angel gasped and crossed his top pair of arms over the counter, his chest fluff popping out as he tilted his head. "What were you like when you were alive?" His ears flattened slightly, and Angel noticed. Maybe he didn't really wanna talk about it, but that made Angel even more curious. Husk opened his mouth to reply, but before he could, his two big front doors blew up and smoke immediately filled the place with debris.

Husk's wings instinctively rose to seem intimidating, to be seen as the bigger person despite his height. Angel just coughed into his fist as his other arm covered his face from anything going into his eye, his bottom pair of arms trying to wave the smoke away. Despite the fog filling the room, Husk's glowing golden eyes shined through. He could sense someone in the room, but he was also trying to keep his eyes on Angel, in case the spider would disappear all of a sudden in case this was an attempt of Valentino to steal him back, or if there really is just a random person trying to kill anyone in the room even though the casino is closed.
