After who knows how long, Jessica regained consciousness and realised that she couldn't get up. The debris that she knocked off the building plummeted into the alley on top of her and she couldn't lift it off.
Normally, she would be able to do that effortlessly. That bomb must have done a real number on her and on top of that she couldn't use all the strength she had left while laying on her back with her legs stuck.
Her eyes were slowly recovering but she intentionally closed them because of the street light above her. There was only a single thing left to do: she had to wait for her strength to come back while stuck, blinded and under the rain, all while hoping that no one found her in the meantime.
She looked to her side and saw a skinny figure walking towards her with his back hunched over. Her spider sense didn't tingle at all, meaning that this stranger had no ill intent. Jessica's ears still rang so she couldn't understand what the other said but she saw that he was trying to move the debris off of her and understood that he wanted to help her.
Jessica timed her push to match the Good Samaritan's, so that their forces could stack up. With their strength combined they managed to get the wreckage off of her. Finally able to move, Jess sat up and looked at the boy as he stepped into the light.
Now that he had left the deep darkness, she saw that he was wearing a Spider-Man suit, completely different from Peter Parker's. It was almost entirely black with red webbing, though not a lot of it, for example the leggings had no webs at all, there wasn't much webbing on his arms either except for the shoulders and the red fingers.
Once Jessica's ears stopped ringing, the first words she heard were: "Are you alright?"
She recognised from his voice that it was the same boy in the Halloween suit that she caught yesterday, the one that she let get away. After doing that she doubted her own actions, she wondered why she didn't just take him to S.H.I.E.L.D. However, now that he had saved her, she did not doubt herself any longer. This new costume was a much appreciated upgrade.
She told him: "I've felt worse." That was not a lie but she didn't feel great either. She added: "I thought I told you to quit it."
"Seriously? Even after I helped you, you still don't want me around? I understand what I did wrong, now give me a chance to help out."
Jessica tried to listen to him with all her heart and she noticed that it wasn't going to stop raining anytime soon, if anything the rain was about to get stronger along with the wind.
"Let's go find shelter. I wouldn't want you to get sick and miss school tomorrow."
"Hey!" Miles didn't appreciate that remark about his age very much but he followed Spider-Woman since he agreed with her.

"What do you mean she got away?!"
"I said what I said." Taskmaster replied to his hirer by video call.
Krieger saw Masters' face on a monitor on the other side of the meeting room; on the other side of the call Masters watched Krieger on his wrist communicator.
In the meeting room, alongside Krieger, there was the entire Brain Trust. All of them were completely silent, though each one for different reasons. Some were just being respectful, others were pensive while others were worried about the situation at hand.
Above all else, Nathaniel Essex was disappointed. Disappointed not only in Krieger's incompetence but also the hired mercenary's and how this ordeal was putting much more important business on hold.
Krieger enquired angrily: "Why did I even hire you if you're not going to do your job?"
"It would have been easy if that other freak wasn't there."
