There was a completely unassuming bedroom, made for only one person and yet it couldn't be any messier: there were clothes stacked on a chair instead of being put in the wardrobe, tons of school books covering the desk, there was also an Albert Einstein poster on the wall to further prove that a student lived here, studious by all means but they didn't know one thing about decency.

The room was entirely dark, except for a single beam of sunlight coming through the shutters. It must have been morning but as we all know people don't wake up the moment the sun rises. A loud, annoying, alarm clock was the only thing that could ever wake a boy as tired as... Peter Parker.

Peter was wearing just a white shirt and his underwear; his bedsheets were a mess, he must have knocked them around while sleeping. As he stood over and opened his eyes, he seemed confused by what he was seeing, for some reason. He looked around his own room perplexed and then turned his attention to his hands and lower body: he stared at himself for what felt like an eternity, paying close attention to each little detail.

When he finally stood up, he walked towards the only door in the room where a mirror was placed: Peter was a boy with many insecurities, he had gained qualities that put him above most but in a world with role models such as Captain America, the living legend, and The Mighty Thor anyone would end up believing they should aspire to be like them; today Peter seemed not just content with himself but all around much happier than usual, he looked at his reflection in the mirror prouder than he's ever been, at one point he even pulled his shirt up to see his chest and smiled.

After getting dressed, young Peter walked down the stairs to get to the living room and greet the most important woman in his life; as he arrived, May was serving wheatcakes, Peter's favourites.

"Good morning, Early Bird, did you finally decide to leave your nest?" May said with her usual sarcasm.

In his excitement, Peter couldn't get any words out other than: "Aunt May!"

"You do know that, if you don't hurry now, you'll be late for school?"

May was stunned when her usually moody nephew hugged her like toddlers hug their mums, she was even more surprised when Peter said: "Have I ever told you how much I love you?"

May gently hugged him back and replied with: "Jeez, it seems that happy little boy wasn't entirely replaced by Mr. teen angst! "

Peter looked like he didn't want to be anywhere else; May's smile, on the other hand, slowly turned upside down, accompanied by her eyebrows lowering and slightly moving towards each other.

"There, now. I'd love to stay like this all day, just as much as you do, but you gotta go to school and I need to go to work...We've both got a lot to do and we can't just stop time. "

Peter stopped hugging his aunt and showed a tiny hint of sadness on his face. Noticing his expression, May told him: "Come on, now. I bet Mary Jane is already there waiting for you. She must be wondering where you've ended off."

The young boy suddenly looked joyous again, like he had just remembered MJ. After kissing May on her cheek, he grabbed his backpack and walked to the door.

"I'm heading out, May, I'll see you later!"

May was by all means happy to see her nephew full of all that energy. She drove off to work looking satisfied with her work as a parent.

Walking through Queens, there was one young man that knew the place better than anyone else. Young Mr. Parker passed right past the Jones residence, on his way to Midtown High.

Peter didn't have a single bad thought, raindrops could have started falling on his head right at that moment and he wouldn't have cared. The only goal in his mind at that moment was going to school, meet Mary Jane Watson, tell her how much he loved her, kiss her until they ran out of breath and then-
