Inside their cell, Rachel and Jess were both awake but chose to stay in their beds and do nothing at all. One was staring at the ceiling and the other at the wall, they would rather eat rats than talk to each other.

Someone knocked on the glass and the cell door opened, as it did one guard only shouted: "Showers!"

Rachel, still quiet, got out of her bed while the guard left them to go wake up other prisoners. With the guard gone, Jess was forced to talk to her cell mate.

"Did he say shower?" she asked confused

The girl with pink hair sighed and reluctantly answered: "Yeah. You do those wherever you come from?"

"But I— I can't do it."

"Why not? Is that your weakness, like the Witch of the west?"

Jessica finally bothered to look at her, she wanted her to stop joking like that but at the same time she was reasonably impressed by her knowledge.

Rachel went on: "Don't worry, no one's gonna faint when they see what you're hiding." she laughed while fixing her own shirt.

Jess lashed out at her furiously: "Don't even joke about that!" She was likely heard even outside of the cell.

Rachel stood quietly, only a little perplexed if anything. She wondered why she took such an immature joke so personally. Matter of fact, she didn't see anything out of the ordinary in her roommate, she almost agreed with Ariana regarding her looks.

Instead of asking her about the violent reaction, she tried to ignore it and take a step down the offensiveness scale. "I get it, that's not it. I bet you're just a little sissy that never saw another naked woman her whole life."

Jessica looked away from her, trying to hide her face but despite her attempts Rachel still noticed her turning red like a bell pepper and so her mood changed. No longer was she trying to make fun of her, instead she searched for more appropriate words.

"Well, you have to come, whether you like it or not. That's how it works."

Jess then looked at the floor and built up her courage before putting her feet on the ground and following Rachel to the most embarrassing moment of her life.

Unlike the previous day, Jessica was actually eating her lunch instead of just playing with it, not because it was better but because the events of that morning managed to make her ignore the taste.

She used to go out in a skin tight suit and yet it was nothing compared to how uneasy the showers made her feel. However it came with a good thing: she had now come to terms with something she felt unsure about for a long time. No more doubts behind her dusk coloured eyes... at least when it came to that.

Someone surprisingly placed her tray in front of hers and despite her enjoying today's food more she didn't want seconds by any means. Looking up she noticed that of all people it was Diamondback who said: "Take mine. You need it more than me."

"What do you mean?" she asked as Black Racer took a seat next to her friend.

"I mean that you're so thin I could see your bones. It's not healthy and it's not cute either."

Jessica secretly acknowledged that she had been neglecting herself. Partially because of her looks but also because of her overall mood and her lack of... how to put it... want. She didn't say anything more and just accepted Rachel's offer.

The other two seemed nicer that day, they just spoke to each other and let her listen, sometimes they would ask her to join in the conversation and, unlike what she said the previous day, Jess was indeed willing to answer questions, though only the ones she could afford to.
