"...ok. Ok."

Miles took a deep breath then looked back at Mr Braddock. The bright orange light of the sunset reflected off of his huge lenses, making them seem even creepier than usual.

"I need you to run that by me again." Miles noticed that he should have been more polite and awkwardly added a "Please."

Jamie was absolutely flabbergasted, he felt like a teacher trying to connect with a lower performing student.

"What's so hard to understand? S.H.I.E.L.D. turned on us, I got away but she didn't."

Miles grabbed his head and took a walk along the building's edge, the captain followed him without needing to place a single foot on the roof.

"God... don't worry, I got it. I really do. It's just so hard to believe."

Spider-Woman was the coolest person Spidey had ever met. Not the coolest one in the world but still the most badass girl he could call "friend". The thought of her being captured scared him simply because of how unbelievable that was.

"Alright." He phewed "What are we supposed to do?"

"Easy: we go back to the Triskelion and break her out."

Miles lost his cool yet again and shouted: "Easy?!" he put his hands together and his two indexes pointed forward "That... thing in the middle of the sea is the most secure place in the country. Except maybe the Pentagon and the White House but that's debatable. Are you even sure she's in there?"

"Sure, I am. Where else could she be?"

"Dude, there are countless prisons around the country. What if we barge in and risk everything just to find out she wasn't even there to begin with?"

Braddock finally landed and looked over the horizon. The boy made a good point and he was now touching his goatee, pondering what to do.

"We need to find a certain location. I know just the right guy to help us."

"Next."

Jessica walked in the room on the side of the glass opposite to the guards. She was already wearing an orange uniform and a bizarre collar around her neck, everything else she had with her was gone. One guard proceeded to talk to his colleague.

"Who do we have here?"

"Here it says 'Julia Carpenter' but it must be a fake identity."

'That's funny' she thought.

"What makes you say that?"

"The fact that the entire report is classified."

"Seriously? Give me that." His partner did as he was asked and he was disappointed by what little he found " The only things listed here are some of her powers: strength class six to ten, laser timer, slow regeneration, enhanced balance... and a couple more classified ones, too? Damn it, they won't even trust us with her paraphernalia."

His friend scoffed and said "Who cares? The only thing that matters is that the inhibitor stays on and we keep her locked up."

So that's what the collar was, she should have guessed. It was tight and uncomfortable, certainly better than the older models she saw but just as much of a bother for the one wearing it.

"Well, excuse me if I want to know what this bitch did to deserve this place!"

"Look, I don't want to argue over this. You're always so tense..."

"And you!" pointing at the girl on the other side of the glass "Get a move on and go meet your new friends!"

Jess reluctantly obeyed and exited the room. Despite the headache caused by the mystery surrounding her, the guards seemed relieved that this one behaved well.
