"Fine, prove it if you can Greenswald."

"What do you mean prove it if you can? At least defend yourself," Maeve questioned him.

"No, I get it. I'm the big villain out of all of this. Now, whatever did I do to you that would make you go so far to pin the blame on me," Easton stated.

Jackson was about to speak up until Nathaniel gave a glance at him to not bring up what he knows.

"Come to think of it, pretty strange you came to Preston's defence earlier. If I'm not mistaken, you were very clear on giving no care whether we guessed the culprit right or wrong," Amanda began to point out.

"So what if I'm an accomplice? How would I benefit? It's not like I'd want you to take any of you with me to escape this academy anyways," he bluntly responded, earning surprised gasps from the room.

"Ooh! I like this one, so heartless!," Shadow began to giggle.

"You wouldn't benefit either way if we got the answer right or wrong for an accomplice doesn't gain the same consequences or benefits as a culprit would," Amanda recalled to him.

"Then, that means..," Elijah spoke upon realizing, his words trailing off.

"You're the culprit?," Lin whispered, her fists starting to tremble.

"Huh. Culprit," Easton repeated, his voice much more lower and quieter than before.

"What's wrong Miles, cat got your tongue?," Hunter asked.

"C-Come on, that isn't true. Right Easton?," Andrew asked, Easton's sudden silence making him nervous.

"Easton?," Peter asked as Easton's lips started to quiver.

"Hey, don't cry-

"Pfft, ha."

Nathaniel could recognize that broken, crooked smile from anywhere.

Easton started to laugh uncontrollably, that it was the only sound that filled the room.

His expression filled with a crazed look on his face, continuing to laugh uncontrollably.

"HAHAHAHA! You guys are really so pathetic!"

He started to make a voice of mockery towards each one of them.

"Easton, are you okay? We had to vote, we have no other choice."

"Spare me all your lies, you're all the same. You'll do anything to save yourselves, when it means you'll sacrifice the innocent and weak to do so."

"So, you did it?," Maeve asked him, ignoring Easton's entire breakdown.

"So what if I did?," Easton answered.

"So what?! You're a murderer!," Lin exclaimed, her voice filled with anger.

"Guess it was bound to happen after all," Hunter said with a shrugged, not seeming the least surprised by this.

"W-Why? Why would you kill him?," Elijah questioned, trying to remain calm about this whole reveal.

"He was weak, naive. Living in his whole delusion. I snapped him out of that delusion."

"None of that should matter. Now we know who the culprit is, we just have to summarize the murder and vote him o-

"Hold on," Liam said, interrupting Amanda.
