I re-read the words surfacing across the letter two times as I waited by the train station, blending in the crowd before me.

Still in disbelief, I took a sigh as my stomach filled with butterflies and anticipation.

Not just anyone got into 'the' hope's peak academy after all.

The massive high-school towers over all the buildings surrounding it in the bustling urban area.

To those who have seen the building itself, it felt to them as if the school stood in the centre of the entire world.

Hope's Peak Academy...

I had my doubts about receiving that letter, for me; it felt like a whole fever dream.

The school brings any top students from any field imaginable, funded by the government as the school's privilege.

Most people claimed that once you've graduated from the school, you're pretty much set for life.

The school was built to raise hope in the nation's future which was pretty fitting considering it is named 'Hope's Peak' academy.

In the past, they were known for 'the incident' that had occurred but those secrets were easily wiped away from the public's eye and attention.

Two requirements to get into the school are one, you have to already be attending a school and two, you have to be the very best at what you do.

One doesn't get in by applying themselves but the school has to scout students that fit their expectations.

And here I was, awaiting the train to the academy itself.

Like the requirements, I was sent a letter upon returning home from school.

My step-sister waved the letter as myself, my step-father and sister gathered around our living room.

They were supportive but I, however, had always thought that I'd be the last person on Earth to receive the letter from the school due to how I wasn't as bold, lively or energetic as my classmates but here I was.

Oh, almost forgot to introduce myself.

My name is Easton Miles though I'm referred to as Easton M. Linux since I lived with my step-father.

I never got the opportunity to learn more about who my real parents were but my step family believed that it was another surprise life pulled ahead of me.

I flinched as I looked at the clock hanging above the train station, signalling me that the train's arrival should be approaching soon.

My heart pounded faster as I bit my lip in nervousness.

After doing some researching for the past couple of weeks, I discovered that the students chosen to attend the academy are people who are elite in the field they're currently in.

These particular people are already well known as well for how often I'd come across their titles through online videos, articles and the news itself.

Just like the rest of them, I was also picked as one of the 'elite' students from my own field, the musical arts.

I was practically raised around music due to my step-family's musical background.
