"Which one of you was the one who forged that note on the morning I presumably died?"
All eyes were now on both Calista and Andrew upon hearing Liam's question to them.
"You received a note and it was forged?" Easton repeated, making sure he had heard him correctly.
"Why else would I wander on my own?" Liam asked.
"Because it seems like something you'd do," Jackson pointed out to him.
"What makes you think that one of them forged the note?" Maeve questioned him.
"If Preston's account for their actions wasn't already suspicious enough, their actions before both our murders seem too much of a coincidence for these actions to be unintentional," Liam brought up.
"Unless you're pleading yourself guilty of forging the note," he added afterward, which seemed to silence Maeve.
"If it's alright with you Liam, could you show us the note? I think this should clear any suspicion if it's fake or not if we all saw it," Nathaniel suggested.
Agreeing to his suggestion, Liam pulled out the note that had been crumpled in his pocket.
"So according to the note, they had asked you to meet up with them," Nathaniel said in observation as he read the note.
"And that's when unbeknownst to us, murdered," Lin completed the sentence for him.
"So how about it, you two? Did one of you do it or were you both in on it?" Liam repeated, everyone else turning their attention again to the other two.
"Like we've said earlier, we didn't do it!" Calista stubbornly replied much to everyone's disappointment.
"Just admit that you did it, you won't embarrass yourself any further if you did so," Easton tried to reason with her, clearly getting annoyed at how stubborn she was at giving them the answer.
"Me and Andrew couldn't have done it! As Amanda said, Hunter planned this all-
"There would've been a time we would've bought that story but I think that time's long ended," Lin frowned at Calista's statement.
Nathaniel could feel Amanda's anger from across the room at the unimpressed look Lin gave at the mention of her name.
"Then maybe the mastermind did it! Or if not, someone helped him forge it such as someone like Easton and Liam! It wasn't we stirred up the trials, it was them, wasn't it?" she countered back.
"I agree and besides, what makes you so sure that it was forged anyway in the first place by someone else? How can we trust your word for this?," Maeve pointed out to Liam.
"He's proved to be more trustworthy than most of the people in this room, at least," Jackson chimed in with a scoff at Maeve's words.
"What makes you think that we can trust her word anyway? She lied before, it's not a surprise she'll do it again."
Jackson shot a cold, icy glare in Calista's direction which startled the blonde female.
"The innocent act is fake, might as well drop it. I heard everything from outside the trial room, your statements are all a bunch of lies so there's no reason to trust a word you'll say."
"Could he be talking about the first lie she's said during this trial," Nathaniel thought, recalling how her lie assisted in his blow-up from earlier.
"You weren't in this room, accusing me of what you've assumed you heard is unfair!" she protested, looking visibly upset at Jackson's cold attitude towards her.
