The elevator gates leading to the trial grounds opened as the elevator rumbled to a stop.

The trial grounds didn't change their appearance, still looking the same as ever when they had their last class trial with the same steel-blue metallic podiums.

Nathaniel took his place on the podium, feeling his guts begin to churn as he dreaded for the class trial to begin.

Monokuma sat at its usual spot which was its golden throne while Monomi was hung up by a rope beside him.

His eye landed on the portraits of the people who were no longer with them; including Elijah, Jackson and Liam's portraits that now took their place on their respective podiums.

Nathaniel quickly shot Lin a reassuring smile whose podium was beside him before the class trial could begin to initiate

"Puhuhuhu, you all know how the rules go!," Monokuma chuckled as it got ready to watch what was about to go down.

"We should proceed then to talk about the state that the body was found then," Easton began to speak up as a starter to initiate progress in the conversation for the class trial.

"Right," Nathaniel agreed, starting to explain their findings as he along with Easton had found Elijah's body before the body discovery announcement went off.

"Elijah was found in the freezer room, having already succumbed to the freezing temperature of the room but for investigation purposes, the temperature of the freezer room was turned into a setting that could allow us all to investigate."

"It's clear to say that his cause of death was from hyporethmia due to the condition of his skin that his body indicated however he seemed to have other injuries on his body as well due to the torn shreds of clothing and the scratches indicated all over his body."

"There was also the splatters of blood we've seen in the hallway," Preston added.

"We still have no idea if the blood we found belonged to the victim or the culprit though," Easton mentioned.

"It seems we've determined the cause of death but this time around, there doesn't seem to be a murder weapon," Lin noted.

"Is that the whole description of the crime scene?" Hunter asked.

"That pretty much draws the end of the line for the crime scene," Nathaniel nodded to confirm.

"Wow, that was quick. Isn't it usually more, detailed or complicated than that?," Calista asked.

He had to agree with Calista's observation, the fact that there weren't many details about Elijah's crime scene to begin with gave him an unsettling feeling that maybe they were missing something.

"I know that this was usually where we start discussing the pieces of evidence that we found but if it's not a hindrance, I'd like to discuss alibis," Hunter began to suggest.

"Alibis?," Maeve repeated, surprised at Hunter's suggestion.

"Preston and I weren't as present as the rest of you guys before the murder had occurred, I think it would be beneficial to recall what had happened before we proceed on discussing the evidence that points to who the culprit is."

"Well, nothing changed much when you and Preston headed upstairs. Nathaniel had just joined us to play a new match and after a few rounds, we all decided to take a break," Easton replied, beginning to explain his and Nathaniel's alibi.

"During that break, everyone else including Elijah had gone out for the break which left me and Nathaniel who remained inside the cafeteria."

"Speaking of alibis, aren't you usually with Elijah? It seems a bit weird for you two to separate," Maeve queried.
