They were trapped.

"Nath, stop!" Elijah exclaimed, tugging on his arm to pull him back from attempting to bust the door down with his already bruised shoulder.

"That's impossible, how come we haven't noticed this before," Easton questioned in disbelief, knocking on the metallic door.

"Because it's never been here before, at least when I've been in this room last," Lin noted.

"Did Liam know about this?" Nathaniel thought for this was his lab after all.

However, he considered how the ultimate labs are built to represent each one of them.

There were many things he had still yet to discover about Liam so maybe the metallic door could be one of those things hinting at something about Liam.

Or maybe he was reading into it a little too much...

"So how are we supposed to get out now?" Elijah asked, looking around.

Nathaniel began to look around the room, wondering if there was anything he could use to propel himself up to the ceiling just like he had done as he investigated the connection of Peter's ultimate lab to Tyler's.

"That won't work," Easton stopped him, immediately reading what Nathaniel had in mind.

"A trap door was easy to disguise with the type of material used for the other labs. I doubt it's easy to conceal a trap door in this lab though," he pointed out.

"So there's no exit?" Elijah asked, the panic rising in his voice.

"What if we cut through the metal with a saw?" Easton suggested, looking around for any weapon that could be used to penetrate through the metal door that confined them from exiting the lab.

"I hope there isn't. I know Liam is an assassin but he wouldn't use that, would he?" Lin mentioned, shuddering at the thought.

"You're right, there isn't," Easton sighed in defeat, finding nothing useful that could be helpful in their situation.

The change of the lab's setting made absolutely no sense to Nathaniel still for it was impossible to change a room's setting with one snap of a finger.

He began to think back if he had ever noticed the door being fiddled with when they were investigating in Liam's lab.

"Liam was hesitant with us entering his lab but I don't think it's because of this, he still didn't reveal to us his talent yet at the time," Nathaniel thought, dismissing any ideas that could get to his head with Liam having possible knowledge about this new information about the setting change in his lab.

"What if we called from outside? They would still be able to open the door for us right?" Elijah asked.

"If there is anyone who can hear us that is," Easton pessimistically added.

Nathaniel had to agree with Easton's statement for as far as he knew, Preston, Calista, and Andrew were at the cafeteria at that moment and it would take one of them to have sharp hearing to hear their cry for help.

His attention began to shift back to the door knob, recalling to how Jackson had struggled with opening the knob back at the library.

He knew that the correlation between the library's door knob and the one in the lab was quite a stretch-
