My heart fluttered with excitement as I looked at myself in the mirror, adjusting the delicate yukata I had chosen for the festival. Sukuna stood by the door, dressed in a traditional yukata as well, his crimson eyes gazing at me.

As I adjusted my yukata, Sukuna's gaze caught my attention. "What?" I chuckled.

Sukuna stepped closer, positioning himself behind me. He leaned in, his lips brushing against my ear. "You look beautiful," Sukuna whispered, his voice low and husky, making my heart skip a beat.

During the festival, we looked at every yatai. After that, we headed to the top of the hill to get a good view of the fireworks. "It's so pretty—"

A knock on the door startled me awake.

Seriously?

"Y/N! Y/N!" Himari yelled, repeatedly knocking on the door. "Are you awake? Guess what day it is today? It's the Light Festival! Wake up! If you don't wake up, I'll break down the door."

How does this kid have so much energy in the morning?

"Coming!" I got up and opened the door, seeing a bright smile on Himari's face. "You do realize that the Light Festival starts at ten, right?" Himari nodded. "Why are you here so early in the morning?"

Himari bounced on her feet. "I couldn't wait! We need to gather as many snacks as possible and head to the top of the mountain to watch the fireworks together." She grinned, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

Don't we always do that...

"I'm going to get ready. You're welcome to wait inside if you'd like," I said, gesturing towards the living room.

It's getting dark. The festival is starting soon. Shop owners set up their yatai. The Light Festival was about to start. I was dressed in a delicate red yukata. The village was full of laughter and the scent of amazing food.

Himari dragged me along, making me follow her to every yatai. A boy was waving at Himari—the boy she likes. "Himari, it looks like someone is waiting for you. I'm going to head to the top of the hill," I said with a wink, and Himari blushed.

I headed to the top of the hill to get a good view of the village.

It's so pretty.

I stared at the village and spotted Himari with her crush. She looked happy. I don't think she's going to come. She's probably going to spend time with her crush. Instead of staying on the hill, I decided to head to the field.

When I arrived at the field, I settled onto the grass and leaned back, closing my eyes.

I was lost in my thoughts when I felt a familiar presence behind me—a presence I hadn't felt in years.

It can't be.

My pulse quickened as I rose and turned around.

Am I dreaming?

Time stopped for a moment as our eyes locked. "Y/N," he said. The sound of my name on his lips stirred up emotions in my chest. Tears began to well up in my eyes. "Sukuna," I whispered.

It's been a thousand years.

I ran into his arms, feeling his arms envelop me, drawing me close. "I've finally found you," he whispered. He gently lifted my chin and brushed away my tears before leaning in to kiss me. As our lips parted, I gazed into his eyes, my heart racing. "I've missed you so much," I mumbled.

"I've missed you too," he murmured, gently caressing my cheek. "Now that I've found you, I'll never let you go again."

THE NEXT DAY

It's warm...

My eyes fluttered open.

I looked down to find Sukuna's arms wrapped around my waist.

"Good morning, love," his husky voice sent shivers down my spine. "Morning," I replied. His hand slid up my leg, gliding up to my thigh and then my hip, stopping at the scar. "What happened here?" he asked.

"After you were killed, jujutsu sorcerers came after me. One of them appeared out of nowhere and sliced my hip, poisoning me."

Sukuna's expression hardened, his fingers tracing the scar. "Jujutsu sorcerers are a pain," he muttered, his voice filled with anger. "I'll kill every one of them." I sighed softly, leaning into his touch. "It's in the past, Sukuna. I have you back, and that's all that matters," I said, turning to look at his face and meeting his gaze. His lips curled into a small smirk, leaning in to capture my lips in a passionate kiss.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and climbed on top of him. As our kiss deepened, Sukuna's hands wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer to him. His touch sent shivers down my spine, and I found myself lost in the moment, forgetting about everything else. With a low growl, Sukuna flipped me over, pinning me beneath him as he trailed kisses down my neck, sending shivers of pleasure throughout my body. "Sukuna—"

A sudden knock interrupted us.

Sukuna's expression shifted to irritation. His eyes narrowed with a hint of annoyance as he pulled away, releasing me from his grasp. With a frustrated sigh, he muttered, "I'm going to kill someone."

"Y/N!"

Shit... Himari.

 Himari
