16- All The Little Things

Lana stopped her car outside of the small modern-ish-looking house, "You gonna let me come inside with you?" Lana asked as Nova unbuckled her seat belt.

     Nova smiled up at her, "Sure." Lana turned her head away with a smile that wouldn't go away as she turned off her car and got out with Nova.

     "I'm sure your fans are gonna be shocked I'm with you, especially after that song.." Nova turned her head to Lana, she wrote a song about Lana. "I stole my songs from this girl named Lana."

     "Oh. Yeah, sorry about that."

     "It's fine, it was a hit though." Lana walked around the car and up to beside, "You took that line from Bottom, didn't you?"

    "Yeah, it was to humor the accusations of me stealing lyrics from you." Nova walked up to the front gate and turned the handle. When Nova first started making music, they had few listeners but they were found through Azul who had been in a band that disbanded a year and a half before Nova created hers. Azul made an announcement about his life after the years and about Nova being with him and that she was making music. That's where she got most of the audience. People who were fans of Lana and Azul's band saw their songs and noticed they had similar lyrics and meanings to Lana's songs, that's where the stolen ideas from Lana came from. Nova recorded a single where some lines were taken from different songs Nova knew or heard of, she didn't know what people's reactions were because she went to rehab and the band took a break.

    Maybe our first announcement back should be a picture of us with Lana. It's a face reveal and debunking the accusations.

     Nova sighed as she walked up the front steps and knocked on the door before she tested the door handle, it was unlocked.

    Nova waved her hand as she opened the door, "Nova!" She heard Jaleigha yell, she barely got through the door when Jaleigha's arms wrapped around her. "I missed you! It wasn't the same without you here." Jaleigha pulled away, a grin on her face. She looked over to the cough where Madeline sat, smiled slightly, and waved her hand.

    "Uh, hello? There's someone else here too." Lana's voice called out, Nova closed her eyes and breathed out a laugh as she stepped out of the wall. "Thank you." Lana stepped into the house, giving her clothes a brush before she waved her hand. "Hi, me again."

    Nova watched as Jaleigha's face fell, she was uneasy having Lana in the house. Madeline looked uncomfortable, but she did before Lana came inside.

     "Chill out, we're fine." Jaleigha dropped her shoulders and sighed.

      "Thank fuck, so I can listen to her music now?" Nova nodded, she gave Lana a nudge before she walked more into her house. She slipped her jacket off her arms and hung it up on the coat rack.

     Nova looked back at Jaleigha who just stared at her, "What?"

     "It's just so good to have you back," Jaleigha said as tears pricked in her eyes. Nova breathed out softly, she put her arms out and walked up to Jaleigha, pulling her into a warm hug.

     Nova felt Lana's arms wrap around them, Nova opened her eyes to look at the couch, and Madeline raised herself to her feet and walked over to them. Her arms softly joined the group hug.

     Suddenly there was a flash of a camera, and they all pulled away from the hug. "Azul?" Nova blinked, and the man put his phone into his pocket. 

       "Welcome home." Nova stepped away from her friends and hugged Azul. "What is she doing here?" Azul whispered as the two slowly swayed against each other.
