I shine only with the light you give me.
I don't know what's next. But this isn't over. It never is just over.

"Let's see how much you've learned."
They forced me to kill.
"They are bad people, serve justice." He told me this. He made me kill other guards and even prisoners.
A death sentence. Death at the hands of someone else.
Nobody knew.
No one ever found out what was going on. There was no law out, no order. I was just supposed to be sentenced to get help for the murders I committed. The murder of my mother and several officers.
"They aren't good for you." A voice said. There was always a voice in her head telling her to do things. Her mother was awful. I can't even blame her.
She was terrified of me. She called me a monster.
Myth fought the voices for as long as she could. She was going insane. She hated being left alone, she would freak out anytime her mother was gone. Her mom didn't trust her enough to take her out.
Her mother had hit her many times and slapped her. She was abusive until she stopped because she would be attacked back. She tried to give the girl up but nowhere would take her. "She's crazy! Please!"
The woman had tried to abandon her but she always found her way back home. "I just want you to love me."
"I never even wanted you!" Myth's hate for her mother grew and grew until one day she couldn't take it anymore.
It was an accident. She freaked out and lost control. But she didn't regret it. She never did.
When she was taken, Mr. White was always fascinated with the idea of the Phenomesian people. He was allowed to use the unused part of the prison for his experiments in secret. Only he and the prison guards knew.
At first, it was just Myth until two other people were brought, they were similar to her. Both killed their parents. Both had heard the voices.
Lilac. An ancestor forgotten in the I'm
Mist was another ancestor and also forgotten. No one seemed to write down the other lives that existed back then, lives that had done important things but credit was stolen from them. Mist's descendant was Callie. At least one of their parents and their grandparents had a name that started with C, it was a tradition passed on. Mist was mentioned a lot in the book but was shown as an enemy and evil. She had a tiger named Callisto, that's where the C's came from.
Myth got along with the two girls very well. Mr. White trained them all but the two never got to Myth's level, soon they backed down. They didn't want to kill and knew it was wrong. Mr. White sentenced them to death. Death by Myth herself.
She killed them. Cold blood. No remorse. She saw them as inferior, cowards who turned their back on what they were meant to do.
She never regretted what she did. Not for years. Until soon before she became aware of who Stella was. It took her to die to start becoming aware of how she betrayed them. Their scared faces haunt her memory. Same with many other scared faces.
Everyone she killed was murdered in unjust. Dylan, Lizzie, all of Raven's sisters, Ginger, Phaerie and Promise. Cherri.
Cherri haunted her the most. Everywhere she turned the girl would be there, watching her.
She was killed by Mr. White because she was becoming hard to control. She became so accustomed to murder that she couldn't recognize the difference between the prison guards she was meant to kill and the ones she wasn't. No amount of serum could knock her out, no amount of pain inflicted, somehow she got back up. When they finally knocked her down to the ground, they made a decision.
Her spirit stayed locked to the place. She needed someone to link to. She was never supposed to be locked to Stella, just get into her mind and leave. But her soul was slowly binding itself to Stella's. They're two different beings now. Myth was granted a second chance.
Lady Jalus. God of Rainbows, God of Life. Forgiveness. Her power was said to be gifted by Mircea herself, Mircea granted Lady Jalus's forgiveness of Myth's actions and gave her life. A life where she can be free.
Myth's tendencies never left. She slips up sometimes and gets a bit too aggressive but she's not hurt anyone since the massacre happened.
She was slowly being forgiven by the others. It was hard to earn. Especially by those she has hurt the most. Sometimes they reminded her of everything, she understood their anger and understood that what she had done would last forever. There was no taking it back.
No taking it back.
