Alone

When Angel was young, about 10 years old, she had aggressive tendencies but other than that she showed no signs of Phenomesia. They thought she had anger management problems and trouble expressing herself.

She was sent to Oceanside, a mental hospital. She was angry that no one understood her, but she didn't know why she got so angry. She'd hit things, herself, and others around her.

She was switched to multiple different medicines throughout her life until she found one that helped. She didn't have any fits anymore and was much calmer, she could play softball without hurting someone, and she could be normal.

No one knew about her past, no one except Nova. Lizzie didn't know about how she acted back then but she knew she was Phenomesian. Angelica's issues weren't just because of her Phenomesia. She had other disorders too, her anxiety was really bad and she had medicines for that too.

She's never acted out of the ordinary because of her Phenomesia. She never dealt with bad side effects. Not until she was older and her medicines quit working, she caused many issues because of her powers and her disorders.

During the summer, Angelica was sent back to Oceanside, they tried to help her with therapy and new medicines but nothing worked.

From then on, sometimes she acted rash, overdramatic, or anger-driven. She couldn't help it, she couldn't show her face at any pharmacy and ask for a prescription, she's a wanted criminal.

Now, Lizzie. The normal child. One would say the Golden Child. Lizzie had no problems, Angelica was resented by Aunt Mary. They never could have a day without an argument.

They all started over nothing and slowly would inch back to Angelica and her disorders, or Angelica and her Phenomesia. But they got bad when Angelica would always have Nova over or Sam and she just started ignoring everyone around her. They stopped arguing and instead, Aunt Mary would just yell at her and she would be nonchalant about it. She acted as if Mary wasn't speaking at all.

Angelica had gotten grounded a lot before but now it was like her life was a prison, she could only call through the home phone. Then Nova kissed her, she was confused and didn't know what to think. Her boyfriend treated her like shit and her best friend is into her.

She dreaded getting out of bed, but you would never know. Not even Nova knew about how depressed she was, she pushed her best friend out of her life and distanced herself from the rest of her friends.

Every day she'd hole herself up in her room, she was missing hits during games and striking out constantly, she'd fumble balls and pass out in class. She was tired and needed a break from the world.

She hated that she was such an issue. But no one would know how much she hated herself, on the outside, she was beautiful, she was skinny, and had clear skin. Every girl wanted to be her and every guy wanted to be with her.

But they didn't know her and she knew herself. And she hated it. She hated herself. She cut her dyed hair, she wanted a change, and she even started dressing differently, instead of being preppy, she leaned into layering and tights and even leg warmers. She hated who she was so much she felt the need to change, she changed the way she did her makeup, changed all the decorations in her room, and rearranged it. But nothing was ever good enough, she was still the same old Angelica Franklin and no one knew who that was.

     She was still alone.

     She felt so alone.

Being sent to prison could have been something great. She didn't want to be like this, she hated being like this. The scratches she had on her thighs were from her, she anxiously scratched and tore into her skin. She wasn't alone there, but she still felt that way. Lunchtime was the only time she didn't, she talked to Toxin for most of it and sometimes Pierce.

Nothing ever led from her conversations, they weren't interested in getting closer to her. She was alone again.

Seeing Nova again felt like she had been hit by a thousand bombs all at once. She loved Nova, she was the only girl that helped her forget who she was.

Angelica was mad at Nova at first but she couldn't help but be swept off her feet by the girl. But now she's a home wrecker. What was she thinking sleeping with someone's girlfriend?

Lana was going to kill her if she found out.
