It has been 3 years since the barrier between the surface and the underground broke.

....

Slience filled the air.

...

Frisk became the ambassador of the monsters.

...

There was no trace of life.

...

Monsters were starting to get used to the surface and humans are becoming more and more accepting of monsters. Things were going so well.

...

So how did things turn out like this? There's nothing but tears and destroyed dreams. I stared at the destroyed city...

Humans... Monsters... in the end.. is coexistence impossible from the start?
What was I even thinking?

Frisk.. that coward... the moment war broke out, they ran away. And no human or monster has heard from them  since then.

Bodies and dust littered the ruined Earth. And if there are still survivors, they're probably on the verge of death.

Huh? How did I survive then? Well, I hid too... like a coward... just like Frisk.
I hid in the underground as it has been pretty much abandoned since the barrier was broken.

Let me tell you how this started...  a week ago...

I was walking to the new Spider Cafe. My life had been good so far, I'm currently studying in a college and I got my own house.

Anyways, there was a massive crowd at the main square so I decided to see what was going on. Turns out, there were two beings arguing- a monster and a human.
I though it was just some minor disagreement but unknown to me there was a pile of dust on the floor near them.

Who would have known that would have been the start of a disaster?

The next day I saw another pair of a monster and human arguing. Shortly later, I was horrified to see the headlines 'A pile of dust at the main square. Remains of a monster or just normal dust?' on the newspaper.

I though that perhaps it was just normal dust, but it is hard to guess. Cause you see, when monsters die they turn into dust so unless you saw it happen it is hard to say who died or if a monster had died.

However, these weird piles of dusts keep appearing again and again in different locations of the city.

And soon after, chaos erupted.

Arguments and accusations were everywhere, the undernet was full of conspiracy theories about humans trying to kill monsters and the relationship of the two races started to drift apart.

Then one day, a dead human body was found at a park. It was bloody and had a wound... a wound that was impossible to be caused by another human...

It was so ever so clear who or what was the murderer... or was it?

I guess it didn't matter... as that was the final strand. The peace treaty was broken.

Humans believed that monsters are a threat to humanity and monsters believed humans were planing a genocide.

There was clearly a lot of miscommunication and misunderstanding, but everyone was so scared... so afraid of the chance that they would die.

Maybe if they just talked to each others instead of just assuming, this wouldn't have happened. And that job of communication belonged to Frisk the ambassador of monsters ... but they disappeared. Some said they ran away, others said that they died.

Well, then things escalated and all he'll went loose.

Humans killed monsters, monsters killed human. It was pure chaos, everywhere was a war field. They didn't care who they were attacking or killing, just that they were of the opposite race.

I don't know what happened after as  I saw it as a pointless war that is going to end up with both races dead. So I decided to fled to the underground where I know will be safe and unaffected. I reactivated the core and moved in to Dr. Alphys old lab.

2 years later I decided to head back up to the surface to see how things are going. Afterall, one cannot live in isolation forever as they would most likely descend to madness.

I was shocked and horrified, I couldn't believe my eyes. Everything was in ruins, all traces of civilization was gone. I wonder if the was even any survivors left. Cause all I see are dead bodies and dust.
