It's finally Saturday. Brendan and I are going to tell everyone that we're together. The weight of the world will finally be off of my shoulders. It has been so awkward at school. It was hard being with someone you love, but can't kiss them, hug them, or even hold their hand. I was tempted to yell out at school, "I am with Brendan Oliver Truscott and I love him!" Then run away screaming like a maniac. Yes, I know, I'm crazy.

As we're driving down to the Lawrences' house, I look in the rearview mirror to see Brendan with a little smile on his face. I remember the day I was signing up for his classes.
~*Flashback*~
I walk into the school and go right up to the front office. The lady at the front desk had really tan skin and black hair. "You must be Adrienne Truscott," she said. I nodded and said, "Yes. Brendan couldn't be here." She nods and hands me a yellow piece of paper to get his wanted classes.
I hand the lady at front the paper back and she puts it to the side. I tell her really fast, "I need to talk to the principal." She nods and says, "Oh yes, I remember. Mr. Albert, Adrienne Truscott is here for the new student."
A tall, bald man walks through the doorway leading to the office. "Hi, I'm Troy Albert, principal of this school." I shake his hand and he continues. "I heard you have some concern about the students here." I nod and say, "Yes, my son was bullied to the point of him...trying to commit suicide. I was wondering if you could find a person or two in the freshman class that can show him around and not bully him for who he is; he likes alternative and rock bands, which was part of the reason he was picked on." He nods and says, "I know two girls in the freshman class that will become great friends with him."
~*End of Flashback*~
And it was Brianna and her best friend who showed him around. Now they're great friends. I think we'll all like Madison more than New Jersey. Too many bad memories lurk there.

As night got closer, people started arriving. The first was Becca (remember, my second-cousin), and her parents, our cousins. Next was my dad's best friend, Greg Stephen. More and more people arrive, then Brendan, John, and Adrienne FINALLY arrive.
Brendan steps up to me and says in his nice, sweet voice, "Hey." I reply, "Hey. Ready?" My dad overhears and asks, "Ready for what?" I quickly make up and excuse. "Ready for Jenga! How could you not be ready?" Phew. I guess it kind of worked.
Multiple hours of Jenga, Wii, Xbox, and talking had Brendan and I ready to tell everyone.
Everybody was sitting in the family room watching Helena and Nee dance on our Just Dance 2014 video game. After they were finished, everyone was silent for a minute. Brendan says out of no where, "I would like to make a confession." Everybody in the room looks in his direction. He continues. "You guys have to promise not to kill me. Well, um...Brianna and I...we're together." I heard a few "OMGs!," some "I knew its," and one, "It's about damn time!" That one surprisingly came from my dad. Helena asks, "Since when?" I answer, "Since Tuesday. We wanted to wait to tell you guys because if we tell one person, everything will go to crap." Becca asked, "Have you guys kissed?" Brendan and I look at each other, and he says, "Explain." Way to take one for the team, Brendan. I explain the whole story. "Well, when he was in the hospital, after he woke up, I gave him this long lecture about how suicide is bad and yadda yadda. He scooted over in the hospital bed and motioned me to lay with him. He said that he promised to stop, and I was like, 'Really?' and he was all like, 'Yeah, why would I leave a girl like you?' Just to confirm was he was saying, I was like, 'What do you mean?' Then he said 'I love you' really fast, then I was like, 'What on earth did you just say?' Then he says, 'I love you, Brianna Ashley Lawrence.' Then we kiss and I say, 'I love you, Brendan Oliver Truscott.' That's how it all went down."
The women in that room say their "Awes" and the guys...well I really don't know, except that Brendan was blushing like a fool.

The last ones here were John, Adrienne, and Brendan. We're sitting/standing in the kitchen/dining room area talking. Each of us are having our own side conversations. Kayla and Nee already went to bed, so it was Brendan, Helena, and I having our own conversation.
After a few seconds of small talk, I say, "Be right back. I have to go to the bathroom." Helena responds with, "You go do that."

Brianna leaves Helena and I alone to talk. Helena grabs my hand and says, "Come with me." She drags me to their family room so we could talk in private, I guess.
"Why did you kiss her?" Helena asks.
I answer, "Because it felt like the right time."
"Do you love her, or something?"
"Actually yes, I do."
"Have you told her?"
"Yes."
"Does she love you?"
"She said she does, and I know she does."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, Helena. Are you trying to get with me?"
"Ew, no." Wow, thanks. She continues. "Just letting you know that Brianna is only with you to make Kayla jealous."
What? "You're not serious. I know you're not. You guys just found out about us today, and you're already making up lies for us to not be together. Real mature for a senior in high school." Boom bitch. "And just by the way, I know you're pissed off at me because I almost kissed Brianna that one time."
Brianna comes into the room and asks, "What'cha guys talking about?" Helena and I look and each other and I say, "Just some random stuff." She nods then my dad calls for me. "Let's go, Brendan!" I get up off of the couch and leave the room.
Brianna's P.O.V.
I walk into the dining room area where I see everyone standing there and John, Adrienne, and Brendan about to leave. John says, "Kiss your girlfriend goodbye so we can leave." We all laugh a little and Brendan leads me outside.
He shuts the door behind him, looks at me, and I say, "Something's up."
He replies, "What do you mean?"
"The 'random stuff' you and Helena were talking about."
"It's fine. I promise, okay?"
I sigh and say to stop us from arguing, "Okay."
We kiss goodbye, which was a small little peck. "I love you," he whispers to me. I reply, "I love you, too."
Something was up, and I was going to get to the bottom of it.
