Brianna's P.O.V.
Thunder Over Louisville is this big thing that is two weekends before the Kentucky Derby. People from all over the country come to watch the air show, with fireworks that happen later that night. Autumn was coming with us, and we were wondering if Brendan wanted to come with us. I text him that night.
Me: Hey, we were wondering if you want to come with us to Thunder Over Louisville tomorrow
Brendan: ...
Me: What?
Brendan: Is it supposed to rain or something?
Me: It's an air show and fireworks show. It's two weeks before the Derby
Brendan: Oh...sure why not
Me: Yay! Be ready at 11:30
Brendan: Sure thing

The next day, I get dressed in proper wear for being outside all day.
We take the middle seat out of Amy's van because it doesn't have enough seats to fit all of us, including Kayla's friend Alyssa, Autumn, and Amy's ex-stepdaughter's daughter Marley.
We pick up Brendan first. Alyssa and Kayla are sitting in the back seat, Helena in the passenger. So it will be me, Brendan, Autumn, and Nee in the middle.
Then we pick up Autumn, then we pick up Marley. Helena puts Marley's car seat in the back with Kayla and Alyssa. (Keep in mind that Marley is three.)
As we're driving down the road, Amy has to make a sharp turn. "Hold on to each other!" she says. "It's the only thing you got!" After she says it, Autumn, Brendan, and I grab on to each other. Natural reaction, I guess.
Once we get there, we climb out of the van and put on the paper bracelets we have to wear to get in the MCM parking lot.
We spend a majority of the time eating and talking dirt about people. After a while, Kayla, Alyssa, Nee, Autumn, Brendan, and I went down to the MCM basement. It was really cold down there, so we take advantage. We claimed a spot and started playing cards.
After a couple rounds, we get bored and start talking.
Brendan: "I'm just gonna let you guys know that I've never witnessed fireworks in my life."
Me: "Really?"
Brendan: "Yeah. For the Fourth of July, we just did sparklers and bang snaps. One time Tyler lit up a firecracker in the house."
Kayla: "My stepbrother Aaron did that once."
Autumn: "But not even at a neighbor's house, you never saw fireworks."
Brendan: *in the most Jersey Shore tone ever* "Oh honey, that's because I'm from New Jersey."
All of us: *dying of laughter*
Hours later, we leave the building and get prepared for the fireworks. We set up chairs in front of the police barracades to get a good view. Amy said right before the show starts, "Okay, right before the finale, take your chairs, fold them, and put them in the back of the cruiser." We all nod, and Brendan asks, "BB, what's the cruiser?" I answer, "It's my dad's police car." He nods and the show starts.
Throughout it, I try my hardest to cuddle up with Brendan. Nothing worked so I just chilled there with my head on his shoulder.
When it stops for a second, we all quickly get our things and rush to my dad's police car. As soon as we close the door, the finale starts. Brendan pulls me in and kisses me. I hear Autumn say, "Guys, stop being so dang cute."

Brendan's P.O.V.
Amy drops me off around midnight. I walk into the house and go to the kitchen to find some water. (I really like water if you couldn't tell.) When I'm in the kitchen, I look over at the cabinets and see that Mom's China set was gone. Dad probably put it away somewhere so it can stay safe.
I shake it off and go to bed.
