Chapter 54: Possession

I arrive at the realm to be greeted by my dragon mother, Grandina and Kiyomi. Grandina gives me a medium-sized box.

"Here, all the things inside this box are all yours."

I open it and grab another one of those giant thick books but when I looked inside, it was all animals from different parts of Earthland.

"You choose whatever animal you desire. No more wolves, or falcons. Pick a different kind of animal that's a little more aggressive this time.

Maybe one that can go really fast, or an animal that can grow to a very large size."

"Ok...are these animals going to replace Helia and Ghost?" I asked. The two dragons nod.

"We're sorry about this. We should have come to your rescue."

"No...it's not your fault. It's all mine."

"Anyway, you have two more animals to choose from that can get along with each other. So choose wisely this time."

I nodded. So I decided to crash on my bed and do research on every animal there was inside this book.

It was the same thickness as the two spell books that were given to me months earlier. Grandina closed the door to my room. I turn to my bed and lean against the head board.

I rest the book on my lap and flip on a nearby reading light. "Don't stay up too late, hime." I giggled. "I promise."

-Next Morning-

(Still Lucy's P.O.V)

I'm awoken by Kiyomi who has asked for an update on my picking for animals. The two animals that I chose were the best choices ever that I don't regret it.

• Golden Eagle

My eagle can spot things from higher up, and lift things heavier than itself. While the fox can work alongside and follow the eagle's steps.

Nura's P.O.V

I knew Grandina wanted to hide my illness from Lucy. But sometime, she's going to have to know at some point. But I don't when I'm going to tell her. I can't bring myself to tell Lucy the truth.

I was diagnosed with a disease that only might make me live for another year and a half at most.

Maybe more if I can take care of myself. No one knows about this except Grandina and Kiyomi.

~Flashback~

I visited the doctor about 3 months after Tartaros was defeated and he told me this.

I was diagnosed a strange kind of a respiratory problem. I told him that I was constantly getting asthma after healing Lucy in my human form. I should have listened to Keira. I was such an idiot not to tell her.

But I was so desperate to save Lucy from going into another coma. I'll just have to let this breathing problem kill me slowly.

~End of Flashback~

~2 weeks later~

Lucy's P.O.V

The GMG's have returned and our guild is now heading to Crocus back to the arena called, the Domus Flau arena.
