Chapter 29: Dying Poison Flames
Itsuki gave me coordinates and asked me to go to C9. Once I got there, I saw one of the Dragneels. It was none other than Natsumi Dragneel. Natsu's twin sister and comrade.
"It's seems that we meet again. This time it's here in the tournament, Nina." I scoffed.
"I couldn't care less, Sumi."
"You kind of sound like Rogue Cheney from Sabertooth."
~Flashback~
-Several months before the GMG's-
No P.O.V
A few months before the GMG's even began, I ran into Sumi and we had to engage in battle since we got the same job. It was not the best encounter.
"Natsumi Dragneel. Daughter of Ignaal. Twin of the famous Natsu Dragneel." Sumi scoffed. "I didn't think you would analyze every single opponent you encountered."
~End of Flashback~
Sumi: So...I won't lose to you this time.
Me: Like hell you will defeat me.
Sumi: But I don't lose to the same person twice.
Me: Fire Dragon Roar!
Sumi: *eats it* Thanks for the meal.
Me: I was just getting started.
Sumi: Fire Dragon Crushing Fang!
Me: *eats it* Venom Dragon Poison Fang!
Sumi: *dodges*
Me: Fire Dragon Embrace!
~About 10 minutes later~
Sumi: Ugh! You leave me no choice.
Me: Huh?
Sumi: Lightning-Flame Dragon Mode!
Me: Flame-Venom Dragon Mode!
Sumi: Lightning-Flame Dragon Roar!
Me: *dodges* Flame-Venom Dragon Roar!
Sumi: *hit* I-I...can't....m-move....
Me: .....
Sumi: I can't give up. Not yet.
Me: *still silent*
Sumi: *stumbles and stands up* I am not finished yet. Give me your best shot!
Me: *smiles* Ok...
Sumi: Lightning-Flame Dragon Firing Hammer!
Me: *takes hit*
Adena: Nina-san!!
Sumi: D-Did I win?
Me: That was absolutely pathetic.
Sumi: *shocked* Nani?
Me: My turn!
Sumi: ....
Me: Flame-Venom Dragon Destroying Fist!
Sumi: *screams* AHHHHHHH!
Me: Flame-Venom Dragon Gripping Hit!
Sumi: Black-Fire Dragon Mode!
Me: Flame-Venom Dragon Sacred Embrace!
Both: Dragon Slayer Secret Art!
Sumi: Darkness Phoenix Blade!
Me: Purple Lotus! Fatal Spiral Sphere!
"What's happened to both Dragon Slayers?" The audience was tense. No one moved. Everyone was absolutely still.
Chapati looks at the Lacrima Vision and the smoke has slowly dispersed and....both Dragon Slayers have fallen simultaneously. "Both teams get 1 point!"
Then silence. "Hey Sumi...." I finally say to her, my voice all croaky. "Good job..." She cracked a smile back at me.
"You too, Nina. But I think we need to rest for a little bit?"
I giggled a little.
"I couldn't agree more..."
"These next two are members of Sabertooth vs. Fairy Tail again." There stood two figures. Face to face. Glaring at each other. Prepared to attack one another.
~Meanwhile back in Oak Town~
Celeste's P.O.V
Nysa and I were catching a train back to Crocus. I just hope we make it back before the tournament ends.
I lead Nysa to our Master so he could stamp the emblem on her. "Where would you like it, Nysa-chan?"
"Good to have you back, Celeste....I'll teleport you to where Nina is. Take Nysa with you." Nysa grabs my hand and squeezes tightly. "It'll all be ok, Nysa-nee..." I whispered in her ear.
"Ok, Master...whenever you're ready." I replied.
