Chapter 76: Lucy's Will and Promise

I know that years have passed and that people have aged. So now, it's X798. Raye and Lucius are 10 years old. As for me, I decided to stay in the Celestial World for awhile. And give Natsu a piece of me that he'll always remember.

Raye was playing around the Sola Tree in South Gate Park with Storm, Gray and Juvia's 2 year old daughter. I spot Natsu walking toward me. He looks up and gives me his classic, toothy grin. I smiled back.

"Oh Natsu..." I chuckled. "You're so cute when you smile." He blushed. "T-Th-Thanks." He stuttered. "So um...what's been going on with you lately?"

I hesitated a little.

We were interrupted by a group of dark wizards from a mercenary guild (Not Southern Wolves). I clenched my fist as it was engulfed in black.

"You should know that it is rude to interrupt people when they're talking." They just laughed.

"Ha! You weren't even opening your mouth, Blondie!"

"I wouldn't call her that." Natsu says. He backs away from me slowly. "Shadow Dragon Roar!" I chant. "You call yourselves wizards? I'd say more like weaklings."

Suddenly, I felt a dagger stab right through me from behind. I screamed in pure agony. The one who stabbed me, pulls the knife out.

I collapse on the ground.

"Mom!" I heard Raye scream. She fends off the rest of the wizards with Lucius by her side and they join hands. Enormous amounts of magical pressure radiate the twins.

"C'mon baby brother, combine your dragon powers with mine, we'll be able to defeat them and protect Mom." I smiled at Celine who nods.

"Let's do it!"

"O great and powerful ruler of the stars...we ask that you lend us thy power to protect our family and eliminate thine enemy...Celestial Shadow Dragon Gravitational Hole!"

How were they able to chant such a powerful spell? Is it because of the amazing bond they share together? Minna...Tasukete...onegai!

"Grand Chariot!"

I turn my head weakly and saw that Whitney has joined the fray. "Whitney...."

"Ice Infusion!" Lyon...

"Ice Devil Blazing Rage!" Gray...

"Iron Dragon Roar!" Gajeel...

All of Fairy Tail came to help me. I was glad. But with it, Master Gildarts has had to write four apology letters to the Magic Council. Having us repair the damage with our previous job reward.

"N-Natsu...please. Take care of Fairy Tail. You're their future to success. You...Natsu Dragneel. Are Fairy Tail's glory and pride." Tears streamed down his face. I caressed his cheek.

"Oh Natsu. Don't be sad. And don't cry, please."

His head falls on my chest and I massage his head with my hand. Using my fingers to slip through his slick, spiky hair.

With that said, my eyes close shut. My body started to glow and light breezes of wind blows my hair and face. "I'm so sorry for leaving you again...."

Natsu's P.O.V

"Lucy please! Not again! You...you promised me that you wouldn't for good!" I was punching the ground but I know deep down it was hopeless.

"Wendy! Tasukeru da!"

Gajeel's P.O.V

"Yukio...Take care of them for me." I heard Lucy's last wish. "Watch over Romeo, Laxus, Mira, Wendy and Tamiko for me." I nodded slightly. "I promise Lucy. I'll protect Fairy Tail forever."

Aurelia had tears in her eyes...and Jaeger too. She and Aurelia were highly sensitive, emotion wise.

"Lucy! You can't leave us! Not yet!"

~Meanwhile~

Asha's P.O.V

Ava, Adena, me, and Ted were on a job while the rest were deciding to keep an eye on the guild while we were out. "I wonder how the guild's doing." Ava says. "Me too. I hope everything is okay."

"You know, we should go back and find more wizards to join the guild at Pergrande, Minstrel, Iceberg, Caelum and Stella."

"We can talk more about this when we get back to the guild with our reward." I say. "Let's focus on taking down these bandits so we can get home faster and beat nightfall."

"Roger!"

A/N: Bad chapter huh? Don't worry about it. I'm about to end this one and make a 3rd. Possible a 4th. But that depends how well my storyline goes. Arigatō Na!
