A New Threat- Taylor

I stroll up to a bench near the gate with my satchel slowly slipping off my shoulder. School had finally finished for another day and I swore to myself that I'd wait for the others. Especially since Alicia never joined us for the lunch gathering that day.

I fall into the bench and watch as people rush out of the gates. In my mind everything seemed slow enough for me to pick out the different characters in the groups our school was made up of. At first all i see are people but as soon as I get into the depths of things I can finally pick out the differences.

The first group to catch my attention were all strutting out the gates with their small handbags and short skirts. Their hairs of all colours and varieties were silky and didn't look as if there was a hair out of place. Who knows how long they spent patting down their loud hair and plastering themselves in make-up.

A few of the girls within this group were falling behind and trying to catch up. To me something didn't seem right. Sure they all had short skirts and handbags but it didn't look right. The people in front it seemed to work and it all seemed natural but the people behind seemed as if every morning that they put so much effort to being like they were now that they were copying. Wannabes.

"Hey you, stop day dreaming!" Says a familiar voice who prods me in the shoulder.

Of course it's Tara.

"Hey, you seen Alicia?" I ask worriedly.

"I can't you idiot!" She exclaims pushing me back a little well laughing.

I roll my eyes at her for stating the obvious and begin to go back in my world for a moment.

I begin to look at people and realise something.

Tomorrow.

Tomorrow would be the day when they finally know what's happened. Some of them will feel the pain when they see something that's been in their lives for ages crumble in front of their innocent eyes.

I become breathless for a moment.

"Taylor?" I hear.

I snap back into reality and clear my throat. My mental images sometimes tend to take me away to another place. It's as if I can see things more clearly than others. And they're all dark.

"Yeah?" I say staring into the distance while I try to clear my thoughts.

"We're all here...but Ali."

I choke. Where could she be? This is the second time I haven't seen her show up to meet us. I bite my bottom lip slightly to hard and feel blood trickle out of it.

"Shall we stay?" I ask.

"Might as well wait it out a few moments."

So we sit there and don't make a sound. I'm unsure if we're thinking the same thing but thoughts of where Alicia may be whizz through my head. I feel as if my skull is throbbing. That all my thoughts were jumping around my mind and thrashing against my skull after they bounce off my brain.

Yet maybe after 10 minutes I am shaken again so reality can welcome me to its world.

In front of me I see, at first Oscar. But as soon as my eyes finally focus I can see a tear stained face and wind-swept bright ginger hair.

Alicia.

I leap up and try to find some words. Yet I'm lost for any. All my thoughts were all planned out and as soon as I saw her again I knew what I would say but now. Nothing!

"Is she okay?" Eliza questions whilst I stare at Ali's red cheeks a black panda eyes.

"She's seen someone." Oscar says quietly.
"I think it would be better if we went somewhere else and talked about it." He suggests while tightening his grip of Alicia in his left arm.

Alicia nods to approve.
"The park?" She croaks trying to pull off a decent 'I'm fine' smile.
"Sounds good!" Natalia agrees and takes Alicia from Oscar.

We begin to stroll over to the gate. A few people, who had obviously just been joined by someone, walk away. But one. Just one figure stays and leans themselves on the red metal gate.
We still walk. I keep in time with the scuffling of their shoes until one pair stops.

Everything goes silent for a moment before we hear a gulp.
"Ali?" Emelia says immediately.
We all turn around and look at her.

She opens her mouth to speak but she can find no words. We hear a few squeals but over than that she's silent.

"Hello Special Seven..." Someone speaks up behind us.

For a moment we all stand straight up and don't say a word. We are in a line apart from Ali who is in front of us staring out to the voice.

"Is it?" I mouth.

Ali nods.
