I am fully convinced that this is not the first lifetime we have collided in.
Perhaps the first that society draped us in sin, but not the first to have our joy carried by the wind.
I knew you once as the veins on a leaf, and I was the sunlight streaming down for the trees.
I remember long nights under the stars, just two rocks in the desert before humanity deposited her scars.
I recall the smell of flowers on a wet little nose, just two small creatures in a field, no doors to open and none to close.
Do you hold the memories of a time long since passed, when dinosaurs roamed and we were just two floating pieces of volcanic ash?
Our twinkling conversations from across the cosmos, two stars pulsing in synchronized prose
Our rivers colliding at the mouth of a delta, our waters spilling out like a request to Dana
Since the beginning of time I have known you, cherished you, loved you, held you
Our connection was present when the sun was born, stayed strong as the cosmos was formed, outlasted eons hand in hand, existed in the bygone before there was man
We are eternal, and so is our love. so know that I mean it, I've seen it, we've done it, it's real.
No person nor place nor act of gods can steal the hunger that my soul has for you, the longing my heart holds for you, the wandering my body goes for you, the praises my lips sing for you
For you are mine, and I am yours - in a trillion lifetimes, and a trillion more.
