Remember the boxes, remember how
Remember how you were taught to pack away the things inside, to become a person just to hide the divinity behind?
Remember how you were raised to know the commandments of a God so cold but forbidden from earning his blessings due to the secrets you hold?
Remember how you tried, time and time again, to take your life, failed, and then grabbed a pen?
Remember how dark the days used to be, before the sun shined and cast you into inclusitivity?
Do you remember how difficult a life you've led, the scars you earned that never bled?
No piece of past could be judged fair, but your shame became your beauty and you wear it kindly.. you display it everywhere.
You give praise to a goddess who has never turned you away, you love a man who has never left you scared, you admire a reflection that has never been more more bare
More bare and beautiful.
More beautiful and free.
You forgot how to tremble, you remembered how to breathe.
Deeply now, remember your boxes
Exalt in the power that was once your burden.
