Love Me Again

Love me again
Love me I beg
Do not abandon me-
The pretty flower you see

Twined around my finger
The silver ring glimmers
And yet, your love grew faint

Outside the door, there you stood
The keys to my heart that you took
Shutting the door, shall we see again?
Do not abandon me, a lovely friend

This poem is about a lady whose husband is abandoning her. She has loved him so dearly and emotionally and yet, leaves her behind.

The story behind this poem is that she is actually depressed and has a hoarding issue. She used to be beautiful and in order, but she soon became mentally ill from a traumatic event. This caused her husband to leave her after numerous sessions on therapy and tying to get her out of the situation. Despite all her cluttered thoughts, she loves him just like in her youth. She is left in her dirty home alone and cold, longing for her husband once again.

The story shows that love can have a bitter ending without abuse between couples. Sometimes, things just happen even with a happy and sweet beginning. You could not prevent things from happening.

There is no need for an interpretation for this one as it is told to simply tell a story. It also has clear verse that mean what they say.
