"Since you've been gone I've got along but I've been sad"

By the end of Monday, everything seemed to have gone back to normal, until it hadn't. Ivory had a hard time saying goodbye to her parents and even Xavier, who had joined them throughout the whole weekend, seemed saddened by the fact that Marina and Alexandar Brooks had to leave again. A few tears escaped Marina's eyes as she placed a last kiss on her daughters head and just like that they left in their lime-green beetle and the teens had to face reality.
The first few classes on Monday morning went by agonisingly slow and despite all of her friends seeming far more relaxed and energised, Ivory had to force herself to stay awake. She barely got any sleep so by the time lunch rolled around she almost fell asleep on Enid's shoulder.
The fairy was lucky to have the excuse of missing her parents, so the school day went by without many questions regarding her state. She was joined by Yoko when they arrived at Ophelia Hall and all Ivory wanted to do was curl up in her bed and sleep away her bad mood, it seemed to her that Yoko had a different plan though. Ivory noticed her eyes following the fairy's every move.
The fairy immediately changed into her regular clothes and sat down on her bed, lettin out a big sigh before she returned Yoko's stare. The fairy didn't need to read the vampire's mind to know something was up, so before the raven haired girl could say something, Ivory beat her to it.
"Spit it out"
Yoko felt almost called out, seemingly snapping out of a daze when Ivory talked to her. By the look of it, Yoko was almost nervous to reply, brushing her hands against each other and it made Ivory frown, wondering what the girl was so worked up about.
"Yoko? What's wrong?", Ivory spoke in a more approachable tone and waited as the vampire cleared her throat.
"Is this really about your parents? Or are you so cranky because of Jaesung?", Yoko was straight-forward like usual, but this time, Ivory did not expect it, blinking away her surprise before she managed to reply.
"What? No...I'm sorry if I seemed grumpy, I didn't mean to. I'm just really tired", the blonde admitted and trudged over to Yoko's side of the room to sit besides the vampire. She didn't seem convinced, rather analyzing the fairy for any signs that she was lying to her. Ivory was taken back by how dissatisifed Yoko seemed with her answer, so she grabbed her hand in a reassuring manner and mustered a small smile, trying to put her friend's mind at ease.
Yoko stared at their intertwined hands for a while, before she looked down at her lap, struggling to find the right words, but she knew that sooner or later she'd have to speak her mind. Ivory was waiting for Yoko to answer, disheartened and confused by every passing second they sat in silence. The fairy couldn't think of anything that happened recently that could've upset the vampire like that.
"Yoko, what's going on? You're clearly upset, talk to me", Ivory tried but she stopped herself when Yoko looked up at her, pain written all over her features.
"I don't like what Jaesung is doing to you. I know you've been saying there's nothing going on between you two, but I just can't believe that. You've been mentally absent the whole day because he doesn't give you any attention? That's pathetic Ivy and you seriously need to get over it", Yoko spat and Ivory sat back shocked by the words she was hearing, her hand slowly slipping out of the vampire's as she struggled to breathe.
