O L I V I A.

I reached the table, as all eyes turned on me. I ran a few of my fingers through my hair because, for some reason, that calmed me down.

"Liv," Kieran immediately said, standing from his seat and stepping closely to my chair, pulling the chair out for me.

I sat down, thanking him, and only then did he go to sit in his own seat while everyone at the table wore puzzled expressions that had many questions on them.

"I'm Olivia, but call me Liv," I said, introducing myself to the family with a forced smile.

"And you are my son's?" An elderly woman questioned me with authority in her gaze as she sat with crossed legs and a straight posture.

She was Mrs. Everett's older sister and looked similar to Kieran, with warm brown eyes, but her hair was pitch black.

"She's my-" Kieran wanted to tell his mother, but I interrupted him.

"Kieran saved me from tripping on my heels and he was kind enough to help me up. Then we decided to be each other's dates for tonight," I explained to the elder woman who was looking between me and him.

Simone Everett playfully snickered at his older brother, Kieran, while Simone's twin brother, Gabriel Everett, was nowhere in sight.

Gabriel Everett and Simone Everett are the twin brothers of the Everett family.

The twins were three years older than Aurelia, making them twenty-one.

Gabriel Everett's seat had been absent, which didn't last long since the same guy with the tuxedo sat down next to his twin brother, Simone Everett.

The guy I bumped into was Gabriel Everett.

"At least we know why he saved you-" Simone whispered to his twin brother as Kieran's mother nudged him on the shoulder and told him to show some respect.

"I raised my son to be a gentleman, and I'm glad that he is one. Expect this little rat." The elderly woman spoke as she gently rubbed Simone's hair, making a mess, but she held grave affection in her voice regarding her son.

We didn't get to continue our conversation as applause filled the room.

Mr. Everett and Mrs. Everett walked down the stairs to the microphone in the middle of them.

The married couple held each other's hands as the golden rings were visible on their ring fingers. All the people's attention in the room drew towards them, even the lights of the room followed them as the background music stopped playing.

It was like they owned the world.

The man was handsome, wearing a white shirt whose sleeves were rolled up to his elbow, showing his muscularity to everyone, not that the man needed to show it off.

He wore black oxford shoes that were neatly polished, along with dark dress pants that did not hide the strength that he had built in his thighs. His physique in general was good, way too good, since nobody could help but glance at his masculine body.

Since he had recently turned forty-one, his dark hair showed no signs of aging yet, and his hooded eyes that were a grey color could easily draw a person into them, who got too close. I don't think somebody needed to get close to him, to be able feel the tension in his eyes.

As they were intense, pleasant and alluring. All at once.

In other words, the man was simply handsome, someone who would draw your attention if they ever walked past you on the street.
