O L I V I A

The mirror showed me the reflection of myself in a long ruby dress, pressing my curves tightly into place, highlighting my figure.

My dark long hair covered my back, and the short red gloves sat comfortably on my hands, creating an elegant yet captivating appearance.

I took one last look at myself in the mirror after finishing putting on the red lipstick on my lips, and it was time to head out of the restaurant's restroom.

Wondering where I am?

A few days ago, after I had taken my revenge on the man. I had called Kieran and accepted his invitation to the third year anniversary of the opening of his restaurant.

It was on the top of a skyscraper, not the same one that the charity held inside. It was a different one and also owned by the Everett family.

I needed a few moments to gather myself inside the restroom because I wasn't feeling well, and Eleanor wasn't going to be present, nor Agnes.

This was my once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to figure out what was going on with Mr. Everett.

Now that I had finished gathering the strength I could muster within me, I had finally stepped outside the bathroom and was met with the dark night sky on the windows because the sun had already set.

I drew short breaths in as I made my way from the hallway and into the private dining area, that had been reserved by Kieran's occasion.

Once I entered the room, the first thing I noticed was the long table with people gathered in the middle of the room.

All of them wore something similar to me, something elegant like a long dress or a brand-new suit that matched the occasion of celebration.

The people were friends of Kieran's and a few family members who spoke between themselves with glasses of wine in their hands, or champagne.

Kieran sat at the head of the table, while Mr. Everett sat next to him, wearing a proud expression each time he looked at his nephew.

Mr. Everett wearing a smile each time he looked at Kieran made me feel warmth, but also sad because Eleanor was destroying this family.

Killing Sam, Gabriel's spouse and baby mother.

Having an affair with Kieran's father, but both the parties are in the wrong for having an affair in the first place.

Filling Aurelia's head with nonsense because I had heard she used to be a kindhearted girl until Eleanor stepped into her life.

Another example is at the masquerade party, when Eleanor smiled each time Aurelia badmouthed Gabriel.

God knows how much damage has been done by her. Also, the fact that Mr. Everett keeps her by his side only for her to destroy his family?

That can't be a coincidence unless I'm way too paranoid.

I don't know how long I had been staring at the people seated at the table, lost in my thoughts, until a voice called out for me.

"There she is!" Kieran stood up from his seat, his face slightly red from the wine as he seemed to be tipsy.

"The beautiful lady has finally arrived," He says, walking towards me and reaching out for me. He placed his hand on my lower back, to show me the way to my seat.

"We were about to eat, so you came right on time!" He smiled, leading me towards my seat which was next to him, but in front of Mr. Everett.

There were waiters that placed warm food on the table while he held out the chair for me as I sat down, facing Mr. Everett.
