O L I V I A
"Money, here I come," I mumbled to myself inside the car.
Raindrops fell on the windows, making it harder for me to see the sight of the two women conversing between themselves inside the café.
The rain made everything blurry as I tried to catch the view of them as the rain began to hit harder against the windows of the car.
Sitting in a car and observing was something that had become a regular thing for me. I had parked the car next to a café which was easy to see through on a sunny day, but currently with the rain, it was almost impossible.
I groaned, leaning my head back on the seat. I was frustrated because I couldn't see their reactions or what they might have been talking about, from the sight of their lips.
The café was surrounded by glass, and I have a keen eye for reading lips and facial expressions but now with the rain, blurring the windows of the café and the car, didn't allow me to catch a sight of a thing.
But it was fine since I knew that I would be getting rich at the end of the night, despite not hearing their conversation.
Thoughts flew by my mind that I should have waited longer to go through with the revenge, waited a few more years, but I couldn't since my worst fear is that my mother getting knocked up by Mr. Everett if I wait longer.
She's forty and probably still fertile because she wouldn't lose the opportunity to give an heir to a large old money business as her blood would run through the child's veins.
I noted myself to check with her medical records, if she's still fertile.
Gabriel had told me each of the family members have their personal doctor who checks up on them, at least once a month. If I had the opportunity to steal the doctors notes or catch a glimpse of them, it would be perfect.
Getting her medical records will be tricky as hell. I can always threaten the doctor, but that would reach Mr. Everett's ears which would leave me to a dead end.
If Eleanor Everett found out my true identity and the revenge I had been creating, I would die by her hands, which was my worst nightmare.
My death wouldn't be easy since Eleanor would call in people to assault me and then probably kill me with one of her brushes, that she sometimes loves to sharpen the edge of.
The two women suddenly walked out of the café, while guards were holding umbrellas for them, which snapped me away from my thoughts.
Eleanor and her best friend were hugging each other as a farewell, but before they parted ways, Eleanor's guard handed the best friend a heavy black backpack which seemed like a regular bag to others, but it was not.
It was something that would make me rich, as the bag was filled with money.
As my mother always enjoys putting sums of money in backpacks. That's what she did back then. She bribed a few people by putting cash into bags, like I told earlier, I had witnessed everything.
One of those things was how she put money into bags, handing them to the people who were her ally.
I stayed calm and collected, as both the women headed to their homes.
I didn't get to hear their conversation, instead I got myself a greater gift that contained inside the black backpack.
This was Eleanor Everett handing out a heavy bag of money to her one and only best friend.
It meant my plan worked by paying a little visit to her best friend, and that I would be a rich woman by the end of the night.
