O L I V I A
"Allow me to take off your coat." Kieran asked me as I told him to go ahead.
He was standing behind me while I had already un-tied my coat and allowed him to take it off as I held my small handbag closely to me.
My long win-red dress didn't have an open back for the young man behind me to view the scars on my back that never got a chance to heal.
They would always be there as a reminder of my childhood.
"Thank you, Mr. gentleman," I thanked him, and calling him gentleman was a way for me to thank him.
He stepped beside me, observed my long wine-red dress with a slit showing off one of my legs along with the black heels. As the dress clung into each of my curves, showing off my figure.
"You are breathtaking," He mumbled underneath his breath, looking up and down at me, taking in the sight of me in the dress.
"I wonder how many times I would need to thank you tonight?" I continued to tease him while I raised an eyebrow at him.
As he had given my coat to someone who took care of all the coats and jackets of the guests in this charity.
"You don't need to say thank you, your presence is already enough." By this point, his pupils were dilated once we locked our elbows again.
I could still feel him gazing at me with clear craving in his eyes as he led us to our table that had his name written on a piece of paper on a plate, while the other seat had an unknown name on the plate next to his.
Probably the blonde woman who caused a scene outside.
Kieran immediately took the piece of paper with the woman's name and crushed it discreetly in the palm of his hand, then ordered a waiter to throw it out.
If I wasn't so observant, I wouldn't have realized his action, but now my senses are heightened since I might meet my dear mother tonight, who loved taking a brush or two over my bleeding back.
After all, Mr. Everett was the one holding this event, and it was his skyscraper, so his wife would be by his side since she was the one who created the charity to donate money to homeless runaway children.
The irony of Mrs Everett.
"Wait here, I need to get something," he told me, rushing off to get my name on a piece of paper.
He left my side, as this felt amazing to me because I had succeeded with my ridiculous plan that I didn't think would actually work.
I pinched myself to see if I was hallucinating, but I wasn't, everything was real.
My mom was a dedicated actress, and I was a dedicated thief.
She succeeded in her plan by destroying my life together with a few other people, and I would succeed in destroying hers no matter what it took.
Many eyes fell on me, which made me feel exposed, but I continued to keep my head up high and my posture straight.
I walked away from my seat and through the crowd of people who all lived in wealth. I stopped once I stepped into the extravagant restroom because I knew one person would be here.
A person I wanted to see closely for myself.
I had stepped into the large bathroom, and I caught the sight of three girls chatting between themselves in a corner with champagne glasses in their hands.
All of them were wearing long, tight dresses, while their accessories glowed due to the light inside the bathroom. As they kept their expensive handbags to their sides.
