O L I V I A

MATURE AUDIENCE: (18+)

I was in the corner of the large dining room where the scenery was currently calm and the lights dim as people were seated at dinner tables, discussing or conversing amongst themselves.

It was a dining room for the ball guests where you could dine as the red cloths on the tables matched my red dress while it had fresh roses in buckets in the middle of each table.

As something like flowers or roses on the tables, were the Everett's family's signature each time they held a party.

In the corner of the other side of the room was a large buffet which varied on different kinds of warm food.

Chicken, meat, vegetarian, seafood. Anything you probably yearned was on that table, which was enough to feed over hundreds of people, as the servants came out with more food once a plate on the buffet was empty.

This was living the life, if you came here to enjoy the food and the drama which could occur here and there between the wealthy. As arguments could rise and gossip spilled to the maximum.

It would have been a fun time to be here if I wasn't here for revenge, which brought death.

My hands were crossed over my chest as I observed the people gathered in the room or had rather followed Gabriel Everett into this room as he was standing by the fireplace with a flute of champagne in his hand while talking to a few people.

He glanced in my direction now and then, as I gave him a smile in return.

The reason I followed him to the room was because of the conversation we had in the middle of the night and the worries it had awakened within me about him.

The people around him either gazed at him in fascination and admiration. As there were others with their mocking voices and snickering eyes.

At the news of Gabriel Everett storming out of a test, leaving a blank sheet of paper, made people gossip about him. Since he had never failed on anything and was viewed as perfect, so this was Gabriel's scandal to the wealthy.

I even observed Eleanor Everett, who had entered the room along with my aunt, Agnes.

The two women were gossiping as people offered their seats to them, but they declined, heading to sit at their original seats, which were near Mr. Everett at the head of the table.

Mr. Everett was nowhere to be found after our conversation as his wife and sister-in-law took their seats while I continued staring at Gabriel and observing his surroundings.

I did that for a while as people came up to me, starting small-talk.

Kieran was one of the people who walked up to me, wearing a similar suit to his uncle, but the only difference was that his shirt was black.

"I have spotted a beautiful lady hiding her beauty from the world." Kieran stood closely beside me, a cheeky grin on his face.

"I'm afraid I might blind people," I teasingly scoffed at him, while he chuckled at my answer.

"So this was the purpose of the dress?" He leaned closer to my ear.

"Was it a good surprise?" I asked, as our heads were close to each other, to be able to hear something over the noise of people over the room.

"Definitely," Kieran winked, but his smile left his face as he withdrew his head from mine because Irene had walked over to us, glaring at me like I had sucked his dick off in front of everyone.
