O L I V I A

Days had passed since I was in my cabin, but also more than a week had passed since I was in Gabriel's apartment.

As the person who might have helped could be Gabriel because sometimes he speaks like he knows what i'm doing.

Not only that, but the person who had saved me from getting caught by the cops might have been him, but I was not going to point my fingers loudly at anybody yet, I needed something more.

More proof, and I was going to get it.

For all I know, Eleanor might have hired someone professional to kill me and this assassin was playing mind tricks with me like helping me out from a murder because the sports car that passed me shouldn't have been there since I had previously examined the road and its most active hours.

Overthinking was one of my strongest traits.

I took a sharp breath in, almost a painful breath in since sleeping in a car was what I had been doing the past days, and it reminded me of my old life, a life I wouldn't want to go back to live in.

I also needed to take the sharp breath in since I was standing outside a Café, and I knew that most of my answers would lay inside it, especially since I'm going to meet the old landlord of Gabriel's apartment, since I called the man a few days ago.

Entering the hidden Café in the city as it calmed my senses down since I was about to find out the truth and meet the last landlord of the apartment building.

As the landlord was closely associated with Gabriel's father since they were friends, so he must have known about Sam and Gabriel.

I examined the few people inside the peaceful Café who were enjoying their warm drinks until I spotted a man, sitting in a chair with a coffee mug on the table, who resembled the landlord who was currently in his mid-fifties.

I strolled over and sat down towards the man in front of me, who was staring down at his half mug of coffee. I didn't hesitate to place a recorder in the middle of the table, pushing the play button to record our conversation.

I had no time to play around with the man once he saw the recorder and drew his eyes to mine with a grimace plastered on his face.

"Thank you for meeting up with me, I'm Olivia." I introduced myself to the man.

"What is that you want to talk about?" He grunted in disapproval as he wanted to get on with it, which I liked.

"It's about Gabriel." I told him.

"Ah, Gabriel... how is he holding up?" The man took a few sips of his coffee while glancing at me over the rim of the cup.

"He's doing fine."

"That's good to hear." He says, placing the empty mug of coffee down.

I sighed, "I'm going straight to business, what do you know about this girl?"

I showed him a picture of Sam I had taken from the doctor's home.

In the picture, Sam was smiling as the summer weather was clear in the background of the photo with a blue sky and the sun shining right in her face.

Her hair reached a bit below her shoulders, as her ginger hair had a few straws of hair that seemed like a golden color due to the sunlight. As her blue eyes reflected the presence of fondness in them for the person who had taken a picture of her.

The person who might be Gabriel Everett, who had taken a picture of her.

"Oh-" The landlord rubbed his eyes while he blinked his tears away, clearly recognizing the girl in the picture.
