O L I V I A
"Soft beds are the best," I groan into the pillow after falling down into the bed.
The comfort of sleeping in a bed will always make my body melt into the soft material of the mattress. The bed covers made me roll myself into them, and as a result, I looked like a cinnamon roll.
At least that's what Gabe calls me.
My stomach was full and at peace, the anger of hunger was like a beast, but now it was resting. It was a weird saying, I know, but I had better things to do than think about each passing thought.
I was full because we had found some random restaurant in the corner of the city street, and Gabriel paid for the food, which was heaven on my behalf.
I could never say no to food, especially when somebody is paying.
I groaned a second time with a smile on my face as I lay in bed, hidden underneath the covers.
"That's the reason why I like offering you food. You always have a smile on your face." Gabriel entered the bedroom in his pajamas as he dried his dark hair with a towel.
"The more food, the larger the smile," I said, peeking at him over the bed covers.
He gently laughed at my quote as he finished drying his hair with the towel.
"If that's the case, then I should feed you everyday." Gabriel smiled as he gazed at me while folding the towel into a neat pile.
For now, I lived in Gabriel Everett's apartment near the college grounds, which was a comfortable and cozy place.
He could afford much better, like a penthouse, but he's a simple person, like he always says he is.
Gabriel and I had become very good friends during these past months, and I ended up living with him for a short while.
Not short because it had been almost a year since I moved into his apartment, and I couldn't seem to move out of the place.
"Goodnight, Gabe," I told him, rolling myself out of the cinnamon roll bed covers I had created.
"Goodnight, cinnamon roll." He spoke with a teasing edge to his voice as he turned off the lights in the room and closed the door behind him.
Hearing his footsteps become fainter and fainter away from the bedroom and stepping into his own room across the hall of the apartment, allowed me to quietly get out of bed with my socks hitting the floor.
Socks make less sound than bare feet.
Unless it was a creaking floor, but this was Gabriel Everett's new apartment, and there weren't any creaking sounds coming from the floor.
Sitting on the bed, watching the clock on the nightstand and waiting for the time to pass, at least few hours before I could make a move.
Once the clock hit 2 AM, I knew he was sleeping instead of studying endlessly in the middle of the night, since it wasn't an exam period for him.
As I didn't want him to hear noises from the bedroom if he was awake, especially the noises of my feet while I tiptoed to the small walk-in closet.
The walk-in closet was small in Gabriel's eyes, but in mine it was huge, which was perfect.
I had earlier left the doors of the closet open since I didn't want the sound of the closet door making noise.
I stepped inside the closet and quietly approached the middle of the closet, where the stolen dresses were hanging.
