„I don't know what you are talking about?" he says trying to smile.
„I saw it all. The girl gave you the letter and you throwing it away. The change in your tone and saying they all annoyed you." he sighs and his smile fades. He sat down on the bench looking at me.

„So are you happy that you caught me now Hyunjoo?"
„Sure I am. I always knew it." he laughed.
„You have been after me for such a long time. Other people will think you like me."
„You must be crazy! Me liking you? That will never happen."
„I know. So what do you want?"
„What I want?" good question. I never really thought about it I just wanted to catch him.

„Why are you acting fake like that?" I asked him curiously.
„Everyone likes it don't they? When you are nice to them. Or at least I thought that. I couldn't get the attention of someone I wanted..." I got more curious.
„Who? A girl?" he smiled.
„Yeah a girl." he said
„Who is she?" I got closer to him.
„You must know her too. The most popular girl on campus...Kim Sora." he says and I can't close my mouth out of shock.
„Close it or a fly will come in." he closed it for me.

„So all this just to impress a girl? You are amazing."
„Now I am amazing?"
„At least I know the reason now. I understand that you want to impress her but don't you think she would like you more if you act like yourself?" he looked at me.
„You think so?" I nod.
„I will help you if you want." he smiled again and since earlier I can feel he isn't faking it anymore. At least not with me.
„I will do it myself but thanks for the offer."
„Well I guess I should go now. Seulbi is texting me nonstop where I am."

„Wait. I just want to ask you... how did you know? I mean everyone else bought it just not you why?"
„Hmmm because you told me your secret I will tell you mine too. I had too many fake people in my life so now I can recognize them even from afar."
„That bad?" he asks and I just nod.
„I am going now. See you tomorrow." I say and walk away.

It's weird somehow. The guy I hated for so long isn't that hateable now that I know his real side. It was feeling nice to talking to him.

I saw Seulbi standing at the college gate.
„What took you so long?"
„I forgot my phone in my locker."
„Alright let's go. I have to get the new lipsticks."
„Yeah but hurry up I have to study after this."

When I arrived home I was about to walk upstairs to my room until I was stopped by this witch.
„What took you so long?" she asks
„Why do you care?"
„I am your mother? In case you forgot that."
„Step mother in case you you forgot that." I walked up and closed the door behind me.

„I am home mom." I said while looking at the picture of my dead mother.
„I don't have to endure it any longer I can finally move out of this hell soon. I just need a little bit more money." I say and wipe away the dust from her picture
I take out my books to start studying.

The next day

I arrive at college still studying for the exam today.
„Can you stop it now? I mean you will be first place anyway."
„Not necessarily. Last time Joshua was first did you forget? I can't let my guard down."
„Good morning." someone came from behind and pulled my hair while walking past me.
It was Joshua who smiled walking past me.
„You will get that back." I say and smile.  I look at Seulbi and she is visibly shocked.

„What?"
„I thought you can't stand him?"
„Well he isn't that bad as I thought?"
„You are going crazy."
„But that doesn't mean I will let him get the first place let's hurry up." while walking up I saw Kim Sora. She is really pretty especially when she smiles. I can understand why he fell for her.
