Alyssa
The tree's whistle in the wind and I can see grey clouds in the distance threatening to rain above us. Tess and I sit on a wooden park seat in the middle of a park.
She groans and her head falls on the back of the seat. "I want to marry Scarlett Johansson," she says. She's been scrolling on Instagram the entire time we've been here- swooning over basically every celebrity she sees.
"Don't we all?"
"Too bad," she says sitting back up and scrolling aimlessly. "She's my wife. You can crawl back to Hayden."
A smile creeps up my face as I take another sip of my coffee, "I'm fine with that."
After a while of chatting and stalking social media accounts Tess stops talking mid sentence. "What?" I ask her, "Hello?" I clap my hand infront of her face, "Tess!" She almost looks as if she is in a haze and I follow her eyesight to see Camilla. She's in the middle of the oval huddled in a group with her fucked up friends. I let out a loud sigh.
I love Tess- I want the best for her obviously but Camilla? She deserves so much better then her- she doesn't even want to officially be Tess's girlfriend! She's basically a side piece..
"Go on then," I say to her and she turns her head around to meet mine, her pretty auburn hair flowing in the wind.
"What?"
"Go hang out with Camilla," I say motioning towards her.
"Are you sure?"
"Of coarse, she's your girlfriend." I wince, "Sorta."
"I don't want to leave you alone." She says her voice soft and calming but I can tell she wants to leave and talk with Camilla.
I shove her a little, "Tess. I can handle myself." I smile, "Go on, have fun."
I watch her walk away giving me a small wave when she reaches Camilla. She smiles when Tess reaches her and I can see her entire face light up from meters away as she brings they bring their lips together.
I walk away from them down a graveled path kicking the small rocks with my head down in my phone. My wallpaper is of Caleb, Tess and I on the first week we met with his dog leaning her chin against the top of my head.
I hear fast footsteps infront of me- coming towards me on the corner of the pathway.
Oh fuck.
Aiden fucking peters.
He slows his steps and takes his air pods out of his ears- Aiden's sweaty face stares at me.
I glare at him, crossing my arms around my waist. "What are you looking at Peters?"
He shakes his head, "Nothing."
I look him up and down- his entire body is sweaty his top stuck against his skin.
Gross.
"Really?" I ask, "because it kinda looks like you are."
He blinks a couple of times, "I'm not Alyssa." His voice is gruff and out of breath.
"Sure thing buddy." I look around the park- the oval now empty. "Why are you running around here at night?"
He shrugs, "Exercise, what about you?"
How does he annoy me so fucking much when he's barely speaking?
"Walking home." Two can play that game.
We stare each other down for a few seconds before he clears his throat and begins speaking again. "How is your day off?" his eyes wander around my face then leave past my shoulder.
"It's fine," I say. "I mean- a lot of studying but other then that. What about you?"
Why the fuck are we still speaking together? I should just walk home, I'm not sure Tess will be there though- probably not.
"Hockey. Coach has been at our throats lately." He clarifies, "we have our first game in a week."
I nod, "sounds fun."
"It is."
"I was so obviously being sarcastic Peters," I roll my eyes and walk away without turning around but I swear I feel his eyes on the back of my head.

Thank you so much for reading! I know this chapter is tiny, it's just a little filler to separate the bigger chapters even though none of the chapters aren't that long (I find long chapters annoying to read- so yeah)
Please follow, comment, vote, etc (if you want to ofc)
