I woke up to a phone ringing. Which annoyed me cause i don't play about my sleep.

"Mama someone's calling you." I said to Ayanna tapping her to wake up.

I was so close but was interrupted by a door opening.

A few hours passed.

I collected all my thoughts and decided it was time to talk to my mom.

I left my room and headed downstairs to the kitchen where my mom was.
As i was walking in i heard sniffling.

I walked in to see my mom crying at the kitchen table.

"Mom? Why are you crying?" I said concerned.

"Sit down baby." My mom said patting the seat next to her.

I started to feel nervous about what's about to happen.

"Im not even going to ask about what I just saw...but why didn't you tell me your into girls?" My mom asked.

She sat there and appeared to be thinking about what I just said.

"Ayanna I know I haven't been the best mom to you b..but im trying ok? I want you to be able to trust me with these type of things." My mom said.

"Well if that situation..you just so happened to see never happened then you wouldn't know shit and i wish it could've stayed that way. Because I know you mom your gonna get to calling your friends or the whole family about how your gay daughter is a disappointment but you know what go ahead because once im 18 and out of this house you will NEVER SEE ME AGAIN!" I said yelling the last part.

In all honesty it felt good to let that out ive been building up anger since the age of 7 and I managed to figure out that i have major anger issues.

"I-I didn't know you felt that way.." my mom said.

"Yana im not going to tell anybody ok? And i don't think your a disappointment your perfect how you are. Do i agree with this? No but im going to learn to get used to it okay?" My mom said.

I felt bad for saying those things. I didn't know she would be so understanding.

"Okay. Im sorry for saying those things." I said giving my mom a hug.

"And honey everything is fine and i don't think anything less of you guys either." my mom said reassuring me.
