Jeongyeon was well aware that Nayeon was judging her right now, but honestly? She could go fuck herself for all Jeongyeon cared. What was more important was trying to get her heart to quit from racing and maybe not let her overwhelming thoughts get the best of her.

"Have you always been this anxious Jeongyeon?"

"Of course!" Jeongyeon said. "It's not like I have a world altering secret I've been hiding my entire life Nayeon. You can't blame me for turning out like this."

"Hmm. Fair enough."

Nayeon went back to her phone as usual while Jeongyeon tried not to vibrate out of her skin. They were currently in an elevator, heading to the highest floor of a luxury apartment building that she hadn't known existed until a few minutes ago. Nayeon was introducing her to her friends tonight, and Jeongyeon could only imagine what kind of people the rich businesswoman associated with.

Probably a bunch of stuck up bitches.

Jeongyeon hurriedly declined yet another incoming call from Seungyeon and slipped her phone back into her pocket. She'd done a good job since last night's dinner of avoiding her unnie, but she knew she couldn't put it off for much longer. Seungyeon would probably barge into her house and give her a good beating until she spilled everything, which was exactly what Jeongyeon didn't want to happen because if she knew Nayeon was blackmailing her all hell would break loose.

The elevator reached its destination and opened up to reveal a large entryway with two arched openings on either side of the room. A stunning patterned mirror was the focal point, with elegant marbled tiles and tasteful decor to complement the statement piece. There was even a chandelier. Just like everything about Nayeon, even the place her friends lived screamed money.

"This way Jeongyeon," Nayeon beckoned her

"This way Jeongyeon," Nayeon beckoned her. She went to the right where a beautiful wood door with an intricate design was and stopped short. "Fair warning, Sana is a bit of a....handful. Don't pay attention to too much of what she says. It's nonsense most of the time."

"Okay...." That didn't help Jeongyeon's nerves at all.

"Look just...," Nayeon sighed, attempting to help calm her nerves. "Just drink and try to relax. This will be far easier than dinner with your family was last night."

"Pft. Easy for you to say," Jeongyeon muttered. "What if your friends hate me?"

"Then they hate you. There's nothing I can do about that," Nayeon shrugged. She entered a code on the doorway and the lock disengaged. "Sana will be fine. It's Momo you'll have to worry about." With that, Nayeon opened the door and went inside, leaving her fiancée standing on the threshold.

"Why do I need to worry about Momo?" Jeongyeon called after her. She hurried to catch up. "Im Nayeon, what do you mean?"

"Nayeonie, hi! Oh, and who's this?"
