When Jeongyeon arrived at Park-Im, Nayeon had immediately told her to wait in her office while she went to handle something. That had been fifteen minutes ago. Her stomach growled, reminding her that this was supposed to be a lunch meeting. Where the hell was the food then? Jeongyeon resisted the urge to get up and snoop around Nayeon's office. She just knew the second she decided to make a move that her fiancée would come waltzing back in and catch her red handed so she stayed put in her chair.

That didn't stop her from looking around the room to glean as much information about her fiancée as she could.

The office was expertly decorated, from the fine leather couch to the color coordinated artwork and various decor pieces situated throughout the room, it all fit together perfectly. Even the carpet felt luxurious under the soles of Jeongyeon's shoes. Amidst all the expensive decor, she saw bits of Nayeon shining through. On a bookshelf on the far wall to her left, there was a framed photograph of her parents, clearly something her fiancée treasured given its prominent position. A variety of books about fashion and music lined the shelves below the picture, which surprised Jeongyeon. She had thought Nayeon would have books about business.

"Bring it in here Yeji."

Jeongyeon whipped her head around and saw Nayeon entering the room, followed closely by a young woman carrying a few containers.

"Set them here," Nayeon instructed, indicating her desk. "I apologize for taking your time. I'll inform Jihyo that you'll be taking an extra thirty minutes for lunch today."

"Oh no Miss Im, it's fine," the young woman politely refused. "I don't need more time."

"Yeji, I won't take no for an answer. You need time to eat a proper meal and recharge yourself for the rest of the day," Nayeon said. "Don't let me see you back here before 1:30. Understood?"

"Yes Miss Im. Thank you," Yeji blushed. "Please enjoy your meal."

"You too. You may go now."

Yeji bowed to Nayeon then left the room.

"I apologize for making you wait Jeongyeon. There was an issue with the sales team that needed immediate attention," Nayeon said.

"It's fine." Jeongyeon shrugged. Her eyes slid to the containers that were emitting a delicious aroma. "Please tell me that's our lunch. I'm starving."

"It is," Nayeon said while thumbing through a stack of papers. "My mother sent us galbi and pajeon. Please help yourself. I need to sign some documents first."

She didn't have to tell Jeongyeon twice. The young Korean had a healthy appetite and was serious when it came to food. Her mother had instilled the belief in her from childhood that one couldn't lead a proper life if they didn't eat proper meals. Jeongyeon fixed herself a generous portion and began to eat with gusto.

Nayeon watched her curiously, fascinated by the way the younger woman could be so focused on eating. "Is it good?" she asked after finishing the last of her signatures.
