It had been three weeks since Sarah had randomly shown up for a day at the Cameron's Mexico house. The couple had maintained a quiet secluded life together, they never really left the house unless they went to get food or the private beach, but they were less than bored. If anything, Rafe especially was overwhelmed, he had officially moved all of his money out of his old bank account into his new one, but also the house that he was having built for him and Raven was almost finished. It felt like to him there wasn't a minute that he wasn't on the phone with a painter trying to figure out what shade of gray the bathroom was going to be or an electrician trying to tell him there is more than one chandelier for a reason, not just a mistake of ordering too many. Raven could sense his stress but she also knew Rafe that every time she asked she was told he was fine even though she could see it in his eyes that there was nothing that he wanted to do more than just throw his phone in the trash. They were both sitting on the couch in the living room together, Rafe on the phone with a gardener trying to figure out where to put yard sprinklers. Raven was just watching TV, trying to leave Rafe to deal with whatever he was without any interruptions. To no surprise though, he was getting stressed out, and she could notice. She laid her head on his shoulder, kissing it softly, causing him to immediately untense himself. He took her hand in his and fidgeted with her fingers while he stared at the TV, but his focus on the phone call.

"If you think that will work, be my guest," He said into the phone, trying to hide his annoyance, "If there's any issues just TEXT me, and I'll answer as soon as I can, alright, yup, thank you."

He hung up the phone and lightly tossed his phone to the side, then rubbed his face, letting out a small groan.

"You alright?" Raven looked at him, a small laugh escaping.

"You'd think after I agreed four times they would keep suggesting other ideas, I don't care if our grass is dead or not," He huffed, causing Raven to let out a loud laugh.

"They just wanted to make sure you were sure," She sarcastically spoke and he just rolled her eyes, causing her to laugh again.

"I swear to god, at this point, if they wanted to put sprinklers full of acid into the ground, I don't care right now," He rubbed his face again, sighing.

"God I hope not, I don't want acid burns again those hurt," Raven let out a laugh and he gave her a look.

"Again?" He raised an eyebrow, a flash of concern rushed over his face.

"When John B and I were younger we'd chase each other around with cleaning products when we were younger, I seriously don't know why," Raven shrugged and he just nodded his head slowly, "It was fun, not gonna lie, running around at seven years old with every cleaning chemical, trying to burn my brother, you know, fun shit."

"I can't believe I learn new things about you every single day," He let out a laugh and Raven just shrugged.

"Gotta keep you on your toes," She smirked, leaning up to kiss him.

He let the kiss linger until she pulled away, quickly reconnecting their lips. She smiled into the kiss as his hands rested on her hips, causing her to shift.

"You haven't eaten all day, we should get food," Rafe's voice was more raspy than it was before, causing Raven to swallow hard.

"Yeah, cool, okay, that's, yeah, we can do that," Raven smiled at him and he stood up.

"You good?" He smirked and she just nodded.

"Yeah, totally fine," She gave him a smile and he just laughed as she stood up next to him.

"Good to know I still can have such an easy effect on you, Raven Amber," He whispered in her ear, then walked out of the room, leaving her alone.

She stood there for a second as she watched him walk out, then shook her head to clear it, walking out behind him. He was waiting by the front door for her, a slight smirk on his face.

"What?" She raised an eyebrow and he just shrugged, opening the front door, motioning her out.

They had driven into the city, it was at least two hours from the house, giving a different scenery and also better options. They had both decided on pizza, just something quick because as soon as they hit the main road they realized they really didn't want to go out.

"The house is almost finished, they said a matter of days, it's just the furniture and those fucking lawn people that are holding us back," Rafe broke the comfortable silence as he parked, "Which means our life will officially start."

Raven couldn't help but grin, "You know us coming down here was insane."

"Yeah, well, we are," He smirked, opening the door for her to the pizza place.

"Good evening, can I take your order," The half tired barely teenager smiled from behind the counter.

"A pepperoni and a cheese pizza to go, please," Raven gave him a sympathetic smile, "Try to close early."

"Thank you," The teen boy yawned and she nodded.

"Tip him well please," Raven whispered and Rafe nodded, then they walked and sat in the closest booth, "I am NOT gonna miss those days, working late hours and shit."

"Kind of grateful I didn't have to work, I would get fired so fast."

"I'm glad you know that," Raven let out a small laugh, causing him to softly kick her.

The two waited another ten minutes for the pizza when they were motioned up to get the two boxes. They thanked the boy and quickly went out to the truck, making their way to a secluded alleyway.

"This isn't creepy at all, Rafe, really," Raven teased his and he just rolled his eyes.

"It's dark and no one can see us," He smirked and Raven just laughed, taking a bite from the cheese pizza.

The two sat in practical silence while they ate, but there wasn't a moment they weren't catching glimpses at each other. They had both finished as much pizza as they could eat, but before they left the alleyway Rafe looked at her.

"I want you to know something," He whispered, causing her to cock her eyebrow, "I'd fucking kill for you."

"How romantic to hear those words after eating half a pizza," Raven smirked but then kissed him quickly.

He placed his hand on the back of her neck,  somehow bringing her closer. If there was a way that they could be in each other's skin they would. There was something about their love for each other that they constantly craved, they couldn't live without each other. They drove the two hours back to the Cameron's house, when Rafe's phone started to ring.

"Are you fucking kidding," He groaned, answering it quickly.

Raven opened the car door, walking inside because she didn't know how long it would take him to be on the phone. Walking into the house felt different like someone had been here that wasn't them, which made her uneasy but she quickly shook the feeling away, walking into the bedroom. She slowly changed into one of Rafe's t-shirts to sleep in, then got in bed, pulling her phone out. Raven heard familiar footsteps walking down the hallway, smiling to herself.

"Guess what?" He broke the silence and she turned to him, a smile on her face.

"Hm?"

"I just got a call," He smiled and laid in bed next to her pulling her close, "The house is done."

She grinned, hiding her face in her chest, causing him to let out a small laugh.

"When can we move in then?"

"As early as tomorrow morning," He smiled and she grinned at him.

"We did it," She kissed him passionately and he shifted, pulling her on top of him.
