Chapter 17

Raven had woken up that morning with a big bouquet of flowers, all the roses different shades of pink. She stood up quickly and looked at the small card that was sitting next to them.

She had grinned at the small card, he wasn't kidding when he said he'd make an effort. She softly touched the flowers, admiring them before she heard a big bang outside. She ran to the front door and saw JJ looking up at a firework, and she just let out a sigh.

"JJ what have you been told about playing with fireworks," Raven let out a sigh and John B laughed at her.

"I DIDN'T MEAN TO LET IT OFF," He yelled, "My blunt got too close to it."

"Morning birthday girl, pancake, eat," John B shoved a pancake into Raven's mouth, causing her to choke as he took a photo of her.

"JOHN B," She coughed and let out a laugh, "So not cool."

"What acknowledging your birthday? or shoving a pancake down your throat?" Her brother let out a laugh as he ruffled her hair, then sat down at the table.

"Mmm, both," She let out a small laugh and he nodded.

"Then you're gonna be absolutely PISSED for what Sarah is planning later," He laughed, causing Raven to raise an eyebrow.

"John B what do you mean?" She gave him a look and he just stood up and walked outside.

She just let out a sigh and finished eating the pancakes John B had bought for her. Though she would tell people John B made them for her if they asked, her and her brother both knew that he was not that talented to make pancakes. Raven took her phone out of her hoodie pocket, opening her texts with Rafe, seeing that he had already texted her early this morning.

Just because they were broken up doesn't mean that he didn't love her, and he had proved that. She hated that they werent together, especially today because he was the only person she wanted to be around, but she needed to be cautious, she needed to take her time. She felt her phone buzz rapidly, realizing she was getting a phone call.

"Hello?" She had answered without looking at the caller ID, but realized right away that it was Sarah.

"Hellllooooooo," Sarah let out a small laugh, "I left a black dress in your closet, thats what youre wearing today, I also put all of my fancy shower stuff in the bathroom so you can pamper yourself today."

Raven smiled to herself then let out a laugh, "Any specific reason you want me to wear the dress?"

"Mmm, okay go take your long shower, then do hair and makeup and get dressed, it'll put you at 6:00 PM ish," Sarah ignored Raven's question, then hung up the phone.

Raven just let out a small sigh, then walked into the bathroom. Sarah wasnt lying when she said all her fancy stuff was left in the shower, but she didnt mind using it. She shut the bathroom door behind her and slowly started taking off her hoodie and shorts, turning the water on so it was almost boiling hot. She slowly stepped in and wet her hair, then washing it almost instantly. She let herself massage her scalp, then water running down her body, warming her. She rinsed her hair then put a hair mask in, then washing her face and body then grabbed the sugar scrub to exfoliate her legs and armpits before shaving. She then disposed of that razor head, putting a different one on then shaving her pussy, then disposed of that razor head too. She rinsed the hair mask out and put conditioner in then let that do it thing as she just sat there for a while. Right before the water turned cold she rinsed the conditioner out and dried herself off. She then wrapped the towel around her body and plugged in the blow dryer, putting some of Sarah's heat protection in and blow drying her hair. She then walked to her room in the towel and sat down on the floor dragging her makeup bag out of her dufflebag. She put music on her phone, imgonnagetyouback by Taylor Swift started playing softly out of the phone as she did her entire makeup routine. After she was done she flat ironed her hair and looked at the time, 5:45. She nodded, satisfied with the time she had beat, as she walked to her closet to grab the dress. It was a soft silk, deep cut, bodycon dress with lace straps, making Raven smile at the beauty of it. She slipped it in and fixed her necklace she always wears then out on a couple rings, a pair of dangle earrings, and a bracelet, then grabbed black heels that she had in her duffle bag as well, putting them on. She smoothed her hair, then walked into the kitchen where JJ was sitting.

"WELL LOOK AT YOU BIRTHDAY GIRL," He playfully ooh' d as she did a playful spin.

"Do I look too- you know-"

"Slutty?" JJ laughed and she nodded.

"Nah this is tame knowing you," He teased and Raven just rolled her eyes, "You ready to go?"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm here to ascort you to the Island club," He nodded and she let out a small laugh.

"Yeah, okay, yeah I'm ready to go let me just go grab something really quick."

She quickly went back into her room and grabbed her purse, slipping a pair of flip flops into it, then walking back out to JJ. They both walked out to the Twinkie, getting in rather quickly, JJ practically speeding to the Island club.

"We'reeee hereeee," JJ said in a weird voice causing Raven to laugh.

"Thank you for driving me," She smiled and he nodded.

Raven had recognized Rafes dirt bike right as she got out of the van, a small smile appearing on her face.

"LETS GO INNN," JJ practically dragged her towards the building, a loud laugh coming from the girl, not knowing what was going on.
