Alastor was surprised he hadn't seen Vox in two days. But Alastor also knew Vox was watching him. Alastor was intrigued. Maybe Alastor missed him but he was not going to admit that. Alastor has missed Vox since they part their ways. Just then Alastor was teleported to Vox.
"Miss me?" Vox teased as he handed Alastor a glass of bourbon.
Alastor looked as he saw they were in Vox's penthouse.
"Not really," Alastor said as he took the glass. " I was just getting used to not being around you."
"What a shame," Vox said as he walked with his glass of whiskey to the couch and took a seat. "I have a confession."
Fuck, Alastor thought. "Vox let's not do this again," Alastor said looking down at his glass as he followed Vox and sat with him.
"What?" Vox asked.
"Wait what are you confessing?" Alastor asked realizing he jumped to the conclusion.
"Val found out," Vox said as he drank the whole glass of whiskey in one gulp.
"I'm not being in a pornography," Alastor said.
Vox laughed. "I would never share you." Vox said as he snuck a glance at Alastor's crotch.
"So what's the plan?" Alastor said taking a sip of bourbon.
"I don't know what he wants," Vox answered. "He hasn't told Velvette. He hasn't asked for anything."
"Interesting," Alastor said. "He's planning."
"He isn't very smart," Vox chuckled.
Alastor joined into the laugh. Alastor started to laugh hard he had to place his glass on the coffee table. Vox missed Alastor's genuine laugh.
"Well let's think of a plan," Alastor said through the laugh as he started to lean onto Vox.
"Ok what you thinking boss," Vox said out of habit.
Alastor started to blush. He hadn't heard Vox call him that in years. He realized he was leaning on Vox like in the olden days. However, Alastor didn't move.
"We first have to figure out what he wants," Alastor said.
"Right now, sex from me," Vox said.
Alastor felt a hint of rage but shoved it away.
"Great sleep with him," Alastor said.
"I don't want to do that," Vox said.
"Uhhh you are so difficult," Alastor responded.
"More than you?" Vox asked as he leaned into Alastor.
"Never," Alastor remarked as he put his arm around Vox. Vox laid his head awkwardly on Alastor's head trying not to crush his ears or antlers.
"I liked your other head better," Alastor remarked."
"Shut up," Vox said back.
"Ok so no sex, what else do we know?" Alastor said trying to get back in track.
"Hmmmm, he wants another night club," Vox said.
"Good. Buy him it and maybe he'll keep his mouth shut for the rest of the deal," Alastor remarked.
"Ok yes that's what I'll do," Vox said. "I miss this."
Alastor felt himself close his eyes tight. Why does Vox always ruin things, he thought. Alastor would have been happy with them sitting like this and talking like they did back when they were associates but now Vox had to make it awkward. Alastor was just going to pretend he didn't hear that.
"What are your plans for tonight?" Alastor asked.
"I wanted to call you over to figure how to deal with Val," Vox said confused why Alastor ignored his last comment but thought maybe Alastor didn't hear him.
"Well that's done," Alastor said. "How about a good old fashion drinking contest."
"Like we use to do?" Vox said sitting up confused.
"Yes!" Alastor said getting up and grabbing bottles of unknown liquor. He mainly got up to hide his blushing face.
Vox smiled. "Alright you're on!" Vox said with excitement as he grabbed a bottle from Alastor.Ten bottles of alcohol later and both were smashed. Alastor was trying to stack the jenga pieces back up as it was one of the only games he played with Vox.
"You're too drunk," Vox said as he lifted an empty bottle to his lips but realized there was nothing in it. "It's not even straight."
"Nor are you," Alastor said making himself laugh so hard at his own joke he fell off the couch.
Vox laughed at Alastor falling.
"You got me there," Vox teased. "How are you learning all this new slang?"
"Ahhh they use it at the hotel all the time," Alastor said as he accidentally knocked the tower down. "Shit."
Vox laughed again and started to help Alastor build the tower but ended up just messing it up.
"Don't you have some robot for this?" Alastor asked.
"Building Jenga towers?" Vox asked. "No that's stupid waste of technology."
"It would be helpful," Alastor said as he looked for more alcohol.
"Getting more drunk is not helpful," Vox teased.
"You are right maybe we should call it a night," Alastor admitted.
"You want to go back to the hotel?" Vox asked hoping the answer was no.
Alastor didn't want to leave Vox right now. He never realized till now how much he missed his company and how easy it was to be himself around Vox.
"Do you have a guest room?" Alastor hinted.
"I do but my bed is big enough to fit both of us easily," Vox tried to take a swing.
"I would imagine. You have to fit a ten foot moth in there," Alastor joked but he felt his face turn more red good thing the alcohol flush could hide it.
"But you can use the guest room," Vox said trying to stand.
"If you don't try to sex me up as the kids say then I wouldn't mind sharing a room," Alastor said.
"No one in hell has ever said those words," Vox corrected as he was able to stand and pull Alastor up.
"No?" Alastor asked as they leaned on each other walking down the hall. "Someone has to have."
"Nope probably just you old man," Vox teased as he opened his door.
Alastor looked in the room. He saw a gaint window facing Pentagram city skyline. He saw Vox's huge bed with black covers on top of a small set of stairs easing it above the room itself. His room was huge but very simple.
"Welcome," Vox mocked as he walked to the bed.
"Thanks," Alastor said as he followed.
Both got undressed to just their boxers and climbed into bed laying by each other. Each were on their backs with space between them. Vox looked over at Alastor.
"When was the last time we shared a room," Vox questioned.
"Before you met Val," Alastor said with a hint of anger in his voice.
"Oh," Vox said looking a little sad.
Alastor saw what he did. Alastor sighed and rolled over to his side.
"May I?" asked Alastor.
"You may," Vox said with confusion.
Alastor lifted Vox's arm. He laid his head onto Vox's chest and scooted close. Alastor laid his arm across Vox's chest. Vox placed his arm back around Alastor and placed his other arm to hold him better.
"I think you have more scars than me," Alastor teased.
Vox felt a little insecure. Vox had them from when he died. So did Alastor though.
"Want to count them all?" Vox said.
"I got mine from dogs ripping me apart. You got yours from all the electrical burns," Alastor said while yawning. "We match in so many ways."
Vox smiled as he watched Alastor's eyes flutter shut. Vox kissed the top of Alastor's head.
"We do, love," Vox said as he felt himself starting to power down.
