Alastor woke and felt much better. Alastor looked around the room for Vox but he was no where to be seen. Alastor got up and got dressed. Alastor walked out of the room to find Vox cooking. Vox was dressed in his suit too.
"Well look who decided to get out of bed," Vox teased.
"Well yes," Alastor said as he smelled Vox's delicious cooking. "What time is it my dear?"
"Six in the evening," Vox answered as he stirred the sauce he was making.
"What are you preparing?" Alastor asked hoping he knew.
"Your favorite that I used to make you," Vox answered.
"I haven't had that in decades," Alastor responded with hint of joy in his voice.
"I wonder why?" Vox joked as he watched Alastor trying to find the sinner meat.
"What cut?" Alastor asked.
"The thigh meat roast you like," Vox replied.
"I can't wait!" Alastor replied with such happiness in his voice.
"You'll have to wait," Vox responded. "The sauce has to simmer to not clump."
"So what did you do with your day?" Alastor asked as he found red wine.
"You are going to drink again?" Vox teased. "You want to repeat of yesterday?"
"Well of course," Alastor answered as he poured two glasses.
Vox felt a stupid smile spread across his faces
"I laid in bed until noon with you and got up and edited videos for the channel," Vox explained. "Val came in and I distracted with him by letting him buy another nightclub. I bought his silence."
"Good," Alastor said as he sipped the wine.
"So now that may no longer be a problem," Vox said as he held out the spoon for Alastor to taste.
Alastor placed his lips on the spoon while remaining eye contact with Vox as he sipped the sauce. The sauce was rich and was mixed with sinners blood. Alastor made a small sound of pleasure with the taste of the sauce.
"Is it good?" Vox asked.
"Our deal it's starting to grow on me," Alastor admitted.
"The sauce silly," Vox corrected.
Alastor felt his face turn red. "It's great." Alastor quickly let out.
"Then I will set the table," Vox said as he left the kitchen.
Alastor chugged the glass of wine in his hands and poured another one.

Vox had set the table. The plates with a slice of leg meat with the blood sauce drizzled over it. Glasses of red wine. Vox pulled out the chair for Alastor. Alastor sat down and watched Vox take his seat. Alastor watched the lit candles on the table flicker. Vox was always good at this stuff. Vox used to do this every night for when they got home from the broadcast tower. Vox cared deeply for Alastor and being allowed this close to Alastor again resparked his love for Alastor. Vox was hoping this time Alastor would admit to the feelings instead of kicking Vox out.
Alastor started to cut his food and take a bite. He let out a small moan of pleasure from how good it tasted.
"I never knew how you cooked so well," Alastor added as he prepared another bite.
"Just a hobby," Vox answered as he took a bite.
"Well yes," Alastor answered as he took another bite.
"You are asking why I learned to cook?" Vox corrected as he took another bite as well.
"If you knew what I meant then why are you asking to clarify?" Alastor said as he grabbed his wine glass for a sip.
"To annoy you," Vox said with a slight chuckle. "I enjoy making others happy and for most that's with food."
"Well you do make me happy," Alastor remarked then started to blush again.
"You say your thoughts out loud more," Vox added to the conversation. "I remember a time when the great radio demon wouldn't comment on anything."
"I don't know why I keep admitting to these thoughts," Alastor said puzzled. "Is it part of the deal?"
"No idea," Vox said. "Maybe under a clause somewhere."
"Great," Alastor said with his ears pointed back as he slide his fork across his teeth as he took another bite.
"You make me happy too," Vox admitted as his blush started to appear.
"I always knew that," Alastor reminded him "Then why did you leave?"
"You left me remember?" Vox said in an angry tone.
"You left me!" Alastor screamed.
"I wanted to expand you wanted to stay in the olden days!" Vox said as he slammed his fist into the table.
"You wanted to run away with that filthy moth," Alastor remarked as he sipped his wine.
"I offered to bring you with us," Vox called back.
"Yes to be your slave," Alastor said sounding annoyed.
"To be my partner," Vox said.
" I should go," Alastor said as he stood up. "I have over stayed my welcome."
"Alastor don't leave," Vox begged.
"It is time for me to go," Alastor said. "Now you can teleport me or I will walk out those doors."
"You can walk like you did last time," Vox remarked thinking Alastor wouldn't want to be seen in the tower.
Alastor went into the elevator with quick steps. Vox tried got up to follow.
"Alastor this is childish," Vox yelled as he watched Alastor enter the elevator and press a button.
"You decided to bring up old memories my friend," Alastor said as the doors closed.
Vox felt his heart ache again.
"Fuck," Vox called as he threw a vase at the wall that on table near the elevator. "How did I let you do that to me again?!"

Alastor was in the elevator holding back tears. He couldn't let Vox get close to him again if Alastor was just going to kill him. It would be hard to complete the task.
