Vox laid in his bed. Vox was done with Alastor as he realized his true color.
"Voxy?" Val called from the living room.
"In my room," Vox called back not knowing quite sure why he answered he just wanted to be alone.
"Ahh there," Val stopped dead in his tracks in the middle of the doorway. "You look like shit."
"Ahhh thanks," Vox said as he turned his back to Val.
"You were on top of the world for the past month and half," Val explained as he walked over and sat by Vox. "What happened?"
"What do you think?" Vox said as he didn't even turn around to acknowledge.
"What did he do this time," Val sighed knowing exactly what was wrong with Vox.
"Tried to kill me," Vox said feeling like shit admitting it to Val.
"Doesn't he always do that," Val said as he held a cigarette out for Vox to light.
Vox lit it instinctually. "Yes but idk I thought this would be different," Vox admitted as he started to sit up.
"Why?" Val said as he blew smoke out.
Vox didn't want to answer.
"I never get you," Val said as he started to lay down next to Vox. "For being so smart you let that stupid demon trick you."
Vox didn't answer as he laid in his side looking at Val. Vox feared this was going to be his life.
"Come here let me make you feel better," Val said as he leaned in for a kiss.
Vox sighed as he allowed the kiss. Vox was going to accept this and hope this would help dull the pain.

Alastor was locked up in his room. Alastor poured himself another drink. Alastor felt horrible. He wanted to be the one to end the contract but maybe he thought there was another reason to the pain. No Alastor thought it was because he didn't complete his plan and that is what pissed him off.
"Alastor?" Charlie asked as she knocked on the door. "No one has seen you in two days."
Alastor ignored her. Alastor just kept drinking what ever alcohol was in this cup.
"Alastor are you still with Vox?" Charlie asked.
Alastor's shadow appeared and went toward the door.
"Don't you dare," Alastor slurred in a harsh whisper.
"I can hear you," Charlie said. "Open up."
Alastor watched his shadow slowly slink to the door.
"I said no," Alastor kept slurring and he would stand to get his shadow but he probably fall from the nonstop drinking.
The shadow just smiled at Alastor as he popped open the door and vanished.
"Alastor?" Charlie said as she walked in to see Alastor in his chair.
Charlie could see ten bottles of hard liquor and that's what she could see. Charlie went to turn on the light and when she did Alastor hissed. Charlie saw that he was just in his dress shirt and slacks. He looked beyond drunk but also like he was crying.
"Alastor are you ok?" Charlie asked as she walked over to him.
"My dear," Alastor slurred. "I am not up for company."
"What did Vox do to you?" Charlie asked. "You were suppose to go there to get us an account."
Alastor judged started her down while sipping his drink.
"Alastor you have to open up if you want to heal," Charlie said as she knelt down by him to hold his hand and be close.
Alastor pulled his hand away and looked away.
"Alastor you can't hide from this," Charlie said.
Charlie saw with those words a tear formed in Alastor's eye.
"Nothing," Alastor said.
"Al," Charlie said.
"I was his pet," Alastor slurred.
"What?" Charlie asked as she was confused.
"I was in contract with Vox and he left me," Alastor said as he drunkly swung his arm.
"You were in contract and you got out of it," Charlie was super confused. "Isn't that a good thing?"
"It would be if I could been the one to end it by knife," Alastor slurred as he got more frustrated.
"You wanted to kill him," Charlie was trying to make sense.
"Yes but then he was him," Alastor slurred as he spilled his drink a little.
"Terrible?" Charlie asked.
"Not the one you know, the one I knew," Alastor slurred as he looked down at his drink. "My old friend, my partner."
"Your partner?" Charlie asked with a little shock.
"My partner," Alastor said as he went to take another sip.
"Like dating?" Charlie asked.
"No," Alastor said. "He just made me feel safe and happy."
Alastor felt so drunk that he no longer thought about what he was going to say.
"Al," Charlie started to say. "Do you like him?"
"Of course," Alastor said. "He was my friend and we were close but I fucked it all up."
"How?" Charlie asked.
"I tried to kill him because I was developing a close bond," Alastor said. "I cannot be close to anyone that could change my goals."
"I see," Charlie said not knowing if this was the alcohol talking or if is this how Alastor truly felt.
"Now that fuckin asshole left me," Alastor said as he threw his glass.
"Al, calm down," Charlie said and with the shatter of the glass Vaggie came in.
"What the hell?" Vaggie asked.
"Vaggie it's fine," Charlie said.
"Great more unwanted company," Alastor said as he slinked into his chair more and placed his finger tips on his temple while resting his elbow. "Can I be alone now?"
"I think that's a great idea," Vaggie said as she led Charlie out of the room and closed the door.
Alastor just sat in his dispare. Alastor wanted this feeling to be over.
