Vox was finishing getting dressed. Vox was wearing a black suit with blue accents. Vox felt rather proud of himself for tricking Alastor into this. However, Vox knows that this could go two ways. Alastor and Vox could enjoy it and have a great time or end up hating each other and making things worse. Vox sprayed cologne onto his neck and chest and that's when he noticed his heart was pounding rather fast.

Alastor was fixing his tie in the elevator. Alastor work a black suit with red accents. Alastor placed the roses in his hand. Vox was going to make a big deal out of this and there was nothing Alastor could do about it. Alastor fixed his hair again. He used a spell to make the top look as usual but he got rid of the bob for tonight. Alastor looked at himself again in the reflection of the elevator. Why did he care so much? It shouldn't matter. This doesn't change the plan of killing Vox in a month. Maybe this would make it easier. Alastor stepped out of the elevator in Vox's penthouse.
"Vox?" Alastor called out.
"I'm coming," Vox said as he left his room and was fixing his sleeves.
Vox stopped dead in his tracks when he saw Alastor. Alastor looked like he actually tried. Vox saw Alastor got a new suit and a new haircut. Vox couldn't believe it.
Alastor saw Vox. They were so similar. There suits almost matched. He could smell Vox's cologne and Alastor remembered that smell. It was the one Vox only wore for special occasions. Alastor felt himself admiring the way the suit looked on Vox.
"You look nice," Alastor said as he walked over to Vox. Alastor held out the bouquet of roses.
Vox took them and looked at them. Vox felt his heart flutter with the idea of Alastor actually trying to get him flowers.
"Thank you," Vox said as he admired the flowers. "You look dashing."
"Dashing?" Alastor responded. "I thought I looked rather handsome."
Vox smiled as he set the flowers down on the table near the elevator. Alastor looked at the table.
"Where is the black vase?" Alastor asked.
"What?" Vox said looking confused.
"There was a vase here," Alastor explained. "It was black and it had folds."
"You remembered a vase?" Vox asked.
"I remember much about you," Alastor said.
"I threw it at the wall," Vox said.
"Why would you do that?" Alastor asked. "It was rather nice."
"You left," Vox answered.
"I always leave," Alastor said as he held his arm out for Vox.
"It was the night you left after dinner," Vox said as he wrapped his arm around Alastor's.
"Ahh yes," Alastor said. "That was after our drinking contest?"
Alastor led Vox to the elevator.
"Yes," Vox said fearing Alastor was trying to already get out of this date by bringing up bad memories.
"Well we must fix that mistake," Alastor said smiling at Vox.

Vox and Alastor walked through the park. Their arms were linked. Alastor was going on about some event Charlie hosted and how well it failed. Vox laughed and admired Alastor.
"So how is your business going?" Alastor asked.
"You really want to know?" Vox asked.
"Not really," Alastor said. "But you listened to mine."
"You don't like that I left you," Vox said.
"Did you admit you left me?" Alastor said touching Vox's shoulder.
"I left you because you kicked me out," Vox said.
"That is true," Alastor said. "I kicked you out because you were growing into your own overlord you didn't need me."
"But I did," Vox said. "I asked for you to join me. I wanted to be seen as your equal in a new chapter of our reign."
"I did not want to join while that moth had you," Alastor said leading them out of the park down one of the streets of Cannibal town.
"You never liked him," Vox said.
"I never liked him," Alastor repeated.
"Why?" Vox asked.
"He changed you," Alastor explained. "You went from a guy passionate about technology and a caring guy who loved to help to an asshole who only thought about power. I hated it because I saw you becoming me and I need you to stay as you were the only other sinner I could trust."
Vox had no words. Vox felt sick. Vox didn't want to hash this out now.  Vox didn't want to ever discuss this.
"Look we are here," Alastor said snapping Vox back to reality.
"It looks nice," Vox said meekly.
"Vox darling don't let one talk ruin a whole evening," Alastor said taking his hand and resting it on Vox's screen.
Vox leaned into the hand. "I won't."

Alastor and Vox were sitting at a table. Alastor was busy talking about how he learned a new torture technique. Vox listened happily as he took a bite of his food. Alastor was so excitable when it came to torture and killing and blood. Vox could listen for hours.
"Do you still want to go out drinking?" Alastor asked.
"How about we do it at my place?" Vox suggested as he watched Alastor take a bite of his food.
"That sounds wonderful," Alastor said.
Vox smiled.
"I am enjoying this evening," Alastor said.
"Good," Vox responded. "I am delighted you agreed to this."
" I had no choice, dear" Alastor reminded him.
"Oh that's right," Vox said.

Once they arrived back at Vox's penthouse. Vox took off his suit jacket. Alastor took it from him.
"Aren't you my guest?" Vox said as he turned around but was met with a surprise kiss.
"Quite, will you be a dear and get the alcohol?" Alastor said as he hung up Vox's jacket and started to remove his.
"Uh sure," Vox felt his heart flutter. "What would you like?"
"The usual," Alastor said as he sat on the couch.
Vox made a whiskey and bourbon. Vox handed the bourbon to Alastor. Alastor sipped it.
"So what's the plan for the rest of the night?" Vox asked as he sat down.
"Whatever my master wants," Alastor said.
Vox felt the blush coming on.
"How about we," Vox looked around and couldn't find anything that would work to distract him "Scrabble?"
"Scrabble?" Alastor said laughing. "Alright if that's what you want."
"Wait no," Vox said but Alastor already made the game appeared and Vox looked at his letter tiles.
"Would you like to start since you're younger?" Alastor asked.
"Uh sure," Vox said and placed a word down.

They played four games and each drank a bottle of alcohol. Vox was leaning against Alastor. Alastor was admiring him. Alastor wanted to make him weak. Alastor knew how to do that.
"Want to head to the bedroom?" Alastor asked.
"I'm not ready to sleep," Vox said looking at his phone.
"Who said anything about sleeping?" Alastor said with a devilish smile.
