Vox was setting the table in his room. It had two microphones that were hooked up to the computer. Vox was messing with the sound quality.
Vox looked at the time on the computer. Alastor was supposed to be here by now. Vox got up to go look for Alastor.
Vox went to check the radio tower since the broadcast should be wrapping up but he wasn't there. Vox walked around the hotel but he wasn't anywhere to be seen. Vox went into Alastor's room but he was gone. Vox was so confused. Vox went to look for Charlie to see if she knew where he went.
Vox found Charlie lesson planning for the next activity.
"Hey Charlie," Vox asked. "Have you seen Alastor?"
"Oh yeah," Charlie said looking up. "He and my dad went out for tea."
Vox felt a small tinge of jealousy.
"What?" Vox asked hoping to get more detail.
"Yeah sometimes they hang out but they only do it for me," Charlie said.
Vox felt himself fill with rage but he tried to stay composed for now.
"When will they be back?" Vox asked.
"I don't know," Charlie answered. "Why?"
"Alastor and I had plans but apparently they don't matter anymore," Vox mumbled starting to feeling rejection.
"Oh Vox," Charlie said as she got up and tried to hug him.
Vox backed up and turned around.
"Wait Vox," Charlie said running after him.
"Do you want to talk about it," Charlie asked.
Vox sighed. Vox better give her something or she would be checking in on him every hour.
"I thought we were making progress," Vox said as he turned around.
"What does that mean?" Charlie asked a little confused.
"Alastor and I were getting somewhere I think," Vox said not wanting to admit he thought they were starting a relationship.
"Vox," Charlie said. "Were you guys starting a relationship."
"No," Vox said defensively but deep down he was hoping it was true.
Vox started to walk away. Vox was going to wait for Alastor in his reading chair in his room.

Vox was sitting in Alastor's reading chair messing with the dials on his radio. Vox also disorganized Alastor's books to annoy him. Vox heard Alastor's laugh.
Vox ran to the door and open it a slightly to see Alastor and Lucifer outside of the door. Lucifer had his arms locked with Alastor. Alastor bent down and Lucifer gave him a kiss.
Vox took a step back and felt sick. Just then Alastor walked into the room.
"Vox?" Alastor said confused why Vox was in his room.
Vox didn't feel like answering he went to try to push past Alastor but Alastor grabbed him by the shoulders. Alastor closed the door with his foot.
"What are you doing here?" Asked Alastor.
Vox just looked at Alastor. Alastor remembered.
"I stood you up," Alastor said loosening the grip to Vox's shoulder.
Vox was mad about that but why did Alastor kiss Lucifer.
"I'm sorry let me make it up to you," Alastor said but Vox looked at him emotionless which was not Vox. "Are you listening to me?"
Vox just kept staring. Vox tried to brush Alastor off but when he walked away Alastor grabbed Vox's wrist.
"Vox?" Alastor asked.
Vox just looked down at Alastor's hand.
"Can you let go please?" Vox asked very quietly.
"What has gotten into you?" Alastor asked feeling uneasy by the way Vox was acting.
"Can you please let go?" Vox asked again quietly and no tone in his voice.
Alastor just looked at Vox. He wasn't his charming self.
"Vox?" Alastor tried again. "You aren't being yourself."
"Can you let go please?" Vox asked again still looking at his wrist.
Alastor let go and watched Vox leave. Alastor followed him. Vox went into his room and watched him stand in his room. Alastor saw that he set up his own recording studio. Alastor felt a twinge of guilt.
"Well look at you," Alastor said trying to get Vox's attention. "You set up a little recording area for us."
Vox didn't move. Alastor looked around. Vox went over to see if he could find anything that would spark Vox. Alastor opened Vox's night stand and saw the torn photo of himself. Alastor picked it up and
"You kept this?" Alastor asked but Vox continue to be quiet. "I have my half up in the radio tower. Would you like to see it?"
Vox kept standing.
"Are you reconfiguring your system?" Alastor asked but was just met with more silence.
Alastor didn't want to talk about Lucifer but he might have to for Vox to talk back.
"He means nothing," Alastor said.
"Everyone means nothing to you," Vox said with a calm unnerving tone.
"You mean something," Alastor mumbled.
"I thought that too," Vox said still being quiet.
"Vox please listen to me," Alastor said trying to see what Vox's response would be.
"I always do," Vox said.
"Vox you know I love spending time with you," Alastor said almost pleading.
"I like tea," Vox said.
"What?" Alastor asked.
"You went out for tea," Vox said.
"Yes we did but we only do it to make Charlie happy," Alastor said outing his ears back.
Alastor hated sharing his affairs with Vox.
"That's nice," Vox said sounding distant. "Then what's with the kiss."
Alastor shut his eyes and sighed.
"He liked it and if I can keep him happy," Alastor started to explain. "I have a powerful ally. One that I can use for later."
"Of course," Vox quietly said.
"Of course?" Alastor asked.
"You only worry about your power," Vox said. "So what am I to you?"
Alastor scrunched his face and sighed again.
"You are Vox," Alastor answered.
Vox finally looked up at Alastor.
"What does that mean?" Vox asked.
"You are my worst enemy but the only person who gets me." Alastor started but was so nervous he continued. "You make me feel safe and you care in your own way. We enjoy the same activities and you complete my tasks. I've missed you everyday since we went our own ways. You are Vox."
Vox smiled but still felt betrayed.
"That's me," Vox said as he awkwardly shrugged with his arms up.
Alastor laughed at the awkwardness of Vox.
"Let's go eat dinner with the rest,"
Alastor said as he led Vox out but Vox was having a hard time trusting him and wondering if he was making a mistake trusting Alastor.
