Vox was setting up tv displays for Charlie. Charlie wanted them just right and unlike Alastor she tried to say fix it in the nicest way possible. Which in turn took her forever to say a thought.
"Look," Vox said. "Please just tell me what you want? I won't get hurt if it sounds mean."
"I know you're doing your best," Charlie said as she tilted her head.
Alastor appeared.
"I hate it," Alastor said with a cheerful voice.
"Alastor," Charlie groaned. "People like tvs."
"People without brain cells," Alastor joked. "So that makes you at a loss for two brains."
"Ha,ha" Vox answered. "Is that better?"
"Good enough for now," Charlie said as she walked away.
"What are you doing here?" Vox asked as he climbed down a ladder.
"Wondering what you were doing," Alastor added. "However I see you're rather busy."
"I'm done," Vox said wondering what Alastor had in mind.
"Wonderful," Alastor said sounding excited. "I was wondering if you would like to accompany me to the theater."
"Like a date?" Vox asked hoping the answer was yes.
Alastor put his head down.
"Too far?" Asked Vox.
"Let's call it time we spend together," Alastor said.
"A date," Vox teased.
"Vox," Alastor warned. "I'm trying please respect that."
Vox laughed as he was trying to lighten the mood.
"Got it," Vox said. "Would you like me to wear a more formal suit?"
"I wouldn't mind," Alastor answered. "I'll see you after my broadcast."
Alastor started to walk away. Vox was liking that Alastor was at least trying. Even if it was his own fucked up way.Vox got dressed in a nice black suit with a blue tie. Vox sprayed his cologne on and fixed his hat. Vox was hoping this would go well and not end him almost getting stabbed again.
Alastor knocked on Vox's door. Alastor was wearing a dressy version of his typical red suit. Alastor smiled at Vox when he opened the door.
"You look wonderful," Alastor said.
"Thanks for inviting me," Vox said as he stepped out and closed the door.
Alastor immediately locked their arms together as he escorted Vox out of the hotel. Alastor was talking about something, Vox wasn't listening. Vox was admiring Alastor as they walked. He was always is charming self.
"We are here," Alastor said as they stood at the entrance of the theater.
Vox just watched as Alastor got the tickets out of his pocket.
"You are awful quiet tonight," Alastor said.
"Just admiring and enjoying the time together," Vox answered as they walked in.
"It's weird having you quiet," Alastor said.
"What would you like me to say?" Vox asked. "Make fun of you for taking me to see a play rather than a movie."
"Yes exactly," Alastor said as he found their seats.
"Kind of hard to when I get the feeling you like me," Vox said.
Vox put his arm around Alastor. Alastor laid his head on Vox's chest.
"You are wearing your special cologne," Alastor said as he could smell it on Vox's neck.
"It's a special occasion," Vox answered. "Not too often does the radio demon take someone out."
Vox gave a small sly smile. Alastor chuckled a bit as he buried his face in Vox's neck. He bit lightly into Vox's neck causing Vox to let an out a small moan and readjust his body.
"Perhaps you're right," Alastor said as he readjusted as well to lay his head on Vox's shoulder.
"Am I going to have to worry about you biting me all night?" Vox asked.
"I cannot help that you smell so delish," Alastor said.
"Coming from a cannibal, I don't know if that's a good thing," Vox admitted.
"You like it," Alastor teased.
Vox shook his head. The play had begun to start.Vox and Alastor watched the play and exited the theater when it ended. Vox and Alastor were laughing at certain parts. When they exited the theater, Val was waiting for them outside.
"What are you doing here," Vox said defensively. Alastor arm was still locked with Vox's.
"Saw you on the cameras around town," Val said as he blew smoke. "You are running our reputation."
"How?" Vox asked.
Alastor let go of Vox's arm. Alastor watched as Vox walked over to Val.
"You are seeming weak," Val said. "You moved into that hotel. Now you are being seen walking around with the radio demon."
"No one gives a rat's ass what you think," Vox said.
"You are being weak," Val said knowing he was annoying Vox.
"You are just jealous because I don't need you anymore," Vox said.
Val just laughed.
"You really think he likes you," Val said. "He's using you. He will hurt you and you will come crawling back to me."
"I don't need you," Vox said.
"You say that now but when there is a knife sticking from your back," Val explained. "I'll be the first one you come too."
Vox rolled his eyes and turned around and walked away.
"You can run Vox but you know it's the truth," Val screamed.
"We are over Val," Vox said.
Val felt pissed.
"We will see about that," Val called out but Vox and Alastor already to start to walk away.On their walk back to the hotel, Alastor tried to reach out to Vox. Vox had his arms folded a crossed his chest. Vox looked stressed. Alastor was not quite sure what to do.
"Would you like to talk about it?" Alastor offered.
Vox just shook his head. Vox was in his own thoughts. Vox knew Val could be right and Vox could be making a huge mistake but at the same time; Vox hadn't seen Alastor be this open before. Vox wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but it was hard.
They arrived at the hotel. Vox and Alastor walked up the stairs.
"Can I be alone for a minute?" Vox asked not sure what Alastor had planned.
"Why of course," Alastor said as he turned into his room.
Alastor was worried about Vox but he couldn't force him to open up. Alastor took a glance at Vox as he entered his room.
When Vox entered his room he closed the door and collapsed on his bed. Vox didn't want to know of the outcome for today.
