My alarm woke me up from 5:30 and I was in such a bad mood. I didn't want to go to Canada but I really didn't have much of a choice since I already got a scholarship for a college over there.
Still feeling a bit sleepy and burnt out i slowly hauled myself to the bathroom. The house sounded quiet so I guess everyone else was still sleeping.
I came back to my room about 45 minutes later. Yes,mi tek long fi use bathroom.
I sat around my dresser and got out my phone,I was surprised to see the amount of persons that had already wished me a happy birthday. But mi neva did really business cause e person weh mi did a look fi text mi neva di deh. And if yuh nuh know already a Ziddy mi a talk.
I texted Kayla and told her I would be leaving 6:30,that a if she even wake yet.
I put down my phone on the dresser and checked to see if all that I needed was in the suitcases,then I spread out my outfit on the bed.
I went downstairs and into the kitchen and mi heart jump. E light did off and mi swear mi see wah black sumn move. I quickly turned on the light to see Jay,Jerome and my mom with party hats on and the kitchen well decorated.
“Surpriseeee”they said and I laughed.
They started to sing the happy birthday song and I was almost going to cry.
“Happy Birthday my baby,"said my mother coming to hug me.

The dinner table was filled with a variety of food,mi no think mi ago able fi eat off all a this before a time fi lef.

I started off with the stack of grill cheese sandwiches and then e banana fritters. By e time 6:15 come mi belly full and a run ova and mi no reach e cake yet.
My dad called my mom and said he was on his way,so I had to finish quickly and get dressed.

I went upstairs and got dressed in my outfit.
