A few days have passed, the time has almost stood still. Raleigh has not been out of her room, leaving Clyde to wander the ship aimlessly. His stomach groaned with hunger, and his head was filled with questions. Neither would be satisfied at this rate. He didn't know if the hopper had food on it or where to access it if it did. He pushed against the walls, hoping to maybe reveal a hidden kitchen to rid himself of the pain he felt in the pit of his stomach. Unfortunately, he found nothing. He sighed, wondering if it was time to confront Raleigh. Approaching her door filled with different emotions. He wanted to know the truth of what Cyrus was talking about, but he knew he couldn't ask now, she was very upset. He reached his hand out, ready to knock but hesitating. Should he be so trusting of her? He ended up knocking regardless, only for no one to answer. "Hey, Raleigh, are you alright." He waited a while, still not hearing anything that could be considered a response.
He tried opening the door instead, a little surprised it opened for him with no issues. Furthermore, he looked around seeing Raleigh covered in a blanket sleeping face down. "Well, I suppose that's a good sign." He said softly to himself, not wanting to wake her. He decided it was probably best to leave her alone for now, turning to leave, but not before the picture caught his eye. Her arm was hanging off the bed, and it had fallen to the floor. He picks it up, looking at it. It's the same picture she was looking at before. He's shocked to see what looked like himself with Raleigh, cut short by the sound of Raleigh waking up, and seeing what's going on. She snatches the picture from him and shoves him out of the room, locking the door. "Wait Raleigh!" He says but has no idea what to say now. She leans against the door, slowly sliding to the floor, sitting there waiting for him to leave, not saying anything.
Clyde isn't left with much choice, choosing to leave the ship hoping time will fix the problems he is having, for now he needs to find nourishment. Sighing, he looks around at the surrounding area. They are in a forest clearing. The trees are orange it must be Fall here he thought. The ground was covered in dark red flowers that came up to his knees, they were everywhere. He made his way east, hoping to find some sort of civilization, walking into the woods. It was calm and quiet. Nothing broke the silence other than Clyde's own steps. Eventually, the trees ended and met a cliff side road, and that road led to a town.
"Perfect, I hope they have Taco King or something." His optimism was interrupted by the sound of a gun being loaded from behind him. He turned slowly, seeing The Reaper. He raised his hands, backing away toward the forest while the gun was pointed at him. "Do we always have to meet like this Mr. edgy assassin guy?" Clyde asked. "Where's the girl?" He ignored him, asking his question instead. "Well um." Before he can answer, wolves surround them seeming to be in some sort of trance, something is wrong with them like they are rabid. They attacked The Reaper, starting to maul him. The Reaper managed to kill several of them, but the pack of wolves was too great in number. Clyde ran away before The Reaper got away from them, not sure what was going on with that.
In an empty house, a man who looks a lot like The Reaper with short hair and both eyes is sitting talking to himself. "No dear. I won't be long, I'm just going to pick up supplies. I'll be back in time for dinner." He says, talking toward an empty chair like he sees someone there. He walks over to another chair, waving his hand in the air like he is ruffling the hair of a nonexistent person. "I'll try to find you something cool, champ." He walks toward the door, puts on a gas mask, and heads out.
Clyde enters the small town seeing none other than a Taco King, but something is off, he feels kinda woozy. It looks like the greatest thing he has ever seen. "Oh my gods, I need a burrito so bad right now." He walks toward it but ends up falling over face-first on the ground. He doesn't get up, seemingly ok with it for some reason. Something is very wrong, and the town seems abandoned.
